After the intense battle against Osteroth and the completion of the dungeon, the group finally returned to the inn where they had previously stayed. Though their bodies felt heavy and their minds weary, a sense of relief washed over them as they reached the safety of familiar surroundings.
Upon entering, Catherine immediately broke the silence. "Virginia, I know you booked rooms for everyone earlier, but I have no intention of sharing a room tonight." She crossed her arms and gazed firmly at Virginia.
Virginia, looking more exhausted than usual, nodded slowly. "I understand. It seems everyone could use some privacy tonight. We can each get our own rooms."
"That's a good idea," Thomas chimed in, rubbing his forehead. "After all this, I just want to soak and sleep."
Pierre surveyed the group briefly, then offered a small smile. "In that case, we'll all get separate rooms. I'll talk to the innkeeper."
