Chapter 25: Repercussions
Third person POV
Ava's recovery progressed, her strength returning. Kael remained by her side.
Elian, now pack member, approached Kael.
"Ava's safety relies on Sabine's survival," Elian said.
Kael nodded.
"We'll fight alongside her."
Sabine's POV
Marcellus summoned me to the Bloodstone clan's council chambers. The elder's gaze pierced mine.
"Sabine, your actions have consequences," he warned.
"I understand," I replied, my voice steady.
Marcellus leaned forward, his eyes narrowing.
"Cassius will stop at nothing. Prepare for war."
I nodded, anticipating this outcome.
"My loyalty remains with the clan," I stated.
Marcellus' expression turned calculating.
"Prove it," he said.
I outlined my plan to fortify our defenses and gather allies. Marcellus listened intently.
"Cassius' obsession with Ava will be his downfall," I assured.
Marcellus nodded.
"See it done."
I departed, my mind racing with strategies.
Cassius' POV
Cassius' vengeance consumed him. Victor returned, bearing news.
"Sabine has fortified her position," Victor reported.
Cassius' face twisted.
"We'll crush her," he snarled.
Cassius seethed, Bloodlust coursed through his veins.
"Treacherous Sabine," he muttered, "I'll flay her alive."
He envisioned Ava's screams, Kael's anguish.
"I'll rip their hearts out," he snarled.
Victor replied, hesitating.
"Sir, perhaps—"
Cassius' glare cut him off.
"No mercy"
Victor nodded, disappearing into the night.
Cassius' fury simmered, plotting his next move.
As tensions escalated, allegiances shifted. War loomed.
