Dean took all he was advised by the ladies to heart. He knew better than anyone that he had to be careful if he wanted to keep his life. He had an issue with Young Master Steve that had not been dealt with but he knew that trouble was coming from that angle mostly from Young Master Steve and his major support Master Scorpion who was among the top figures present.
So he had to because adding others to the already heavy load on his shoulder would only make him crumble without knowing the cause.
"Pressure makes diamonds, is what they say but it all depends if the diamond can survive the pressure".
That is one of the major reasons he did not challenge Young Master Steve knew that their fight would be more than just some contest and if he won the battle it would only hasten the problem that he would receive from Young Master Steve and his people.
