Some fans' craziness truly knows no bounds. Searching online, you'll find stories stranger than fiction. Fans have rushed the stage to steal a kiss, stalked celebrities to their hotels for late-night door knocks, and even planted GPS trackers on their cars... This kind of behavior feels like something out of a spy thriller. So, it wasn't a total shock that Song would have fans like that. Suddenly, Zoe found herself agreeing with Zhu Lan—Song might actually be the one who suffers the most from fans like these. Knowing that the girl who threw juice on her was indeed a fan of Song's, Zoe didn't blame him at all.
If he had a choice, Song probably wouldn't want fans like this. But fans can choose their idols, while idols can't choose their fans. Unfortunately, the onus often falls on celebrities to pay the price for fan behavior, even though it's an undeserved burden. Celebrities can't fully separate themselves from these incidents, which is why Song needed to make his stance clear: If you behave like this, you're not my fan.
Around noon, Zoe walked into a secluded restaurant, sunglasses and bucket hat firmly in place. Song had already texted her the private room number, so she thanked the curious server and found her way there on her own. She knocked, then stepped inside.
Song, dressed casually in shorts and a T-shirt, stood up, giving off a warm, sunny vibe.
Zoe took off her hat and sunglasses, sweeping her hair over one shoulder with a small smile. "Been here long?"
Song shrugged, his gaze lingering on her face for a moment before he replied, "Just got here."
"Do you have any dietary restrictions?" he asked.
Zoe shook her head. "Nope, I eat anything."
They both sat down. Zoe looked directly at Song with a steady gaze.
Under her direct stare, Song felt a little uneasy and raised an eyebrow. "Do you normally stare at people like this?"
Zoe shook her head. "Nope."
"Then why are you staring at me?"
"You're handsome. It's nice to look at," Zoe said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Even Song, who was used to people admiring his looks wherever he went, couldn't help but feel his cheeks warm up a bit under her straightforward praise. It was an era when many women were bold online, but in real life, they tended to be a bit more reserved. Today was technically the first time they'd met in private, so Zoe's openness completely threw him off.
Clearing his throat, Song brought his hand up to cover his mouth in a quick cough. "Alright, that's enough. Do you tell every guy you meet that he's handsome?"
Zoe widened her eyes in mock surprise. "Are you getting shy?"
Annoyance flashed across Song's face as he straightened up, his expression hardening. "Shy? Me? That's a joke! You think I'd get shy over a few compliments?"
Zoe pointed at his ears. "Look, they're even red."
Song tapped the menu with his finger, looking down to avoid her gaze. "Let's order first. And for the record, my ears are naturally red."
"Ah, so that's it. No wonder you seem so easily flustered."
