He enters the classroom with his hands in his pant pockets and his brown hair swiped down covering his eyes. People started gossiping in low tones about him.
"Look, it's Takashiro."
"He's looking gloomy as always. Such a nerd!"
"He was up playing video games all night again, wasn't he? What a corny way to escape reality! Hahaha!"
"Hahahahahaha!"
He moved to his seat quietly in the centre of the class and sat down. The sound of their laughter was echoing in his ears.
(I don't give a damn about what they think. I'm used to all this now. But still, what does it have to do with them?! It's my life! I, Rikuya Takashiro, have every right to live the way I like! Curse all those who want to get in the way!)
The whole time at school, he waited for the bell to ring so he could go home and play his favourite MMORPG; External Nexus Online.
(Maaan! I can't wait any longer! I wanna go home so bad! New event in ENO; External Nexus Online is coming out today, which includes the legendary character DUSK; The Assassin Of Shadows! It's a once in a lifetime chance to get that one! Gosh! I'm so excited!)
As soon as the bell rang, Rikuya gathered all of his things and left for home. He didn't care about anyone other than a few people, and those people, were his seven online game friends. As he was running in the way to his apartment, he yelled.
"I don't care about anyone else in this world besides those seven! They are my best friends!"
The people around him were freaked out by his noise but he did not cared. After a short time, he reached his apartment. He used to live alone in a rented one. His parents were away so he was free to do whatever he wanted. He opened the door and rushed to his room quickly. His apartment consisted of four rooms in total. A bedroom, a washroom, a living room and a kitchen. However, he was in no need of a kitchen because all he ate was instant cup noodles. He opened the door of his bedroom joyfully. He had his computer set-up in a corner beside a sliding window that led to the balcony. While in the other corner of the room was his bed. He quickly sat on his gaming chair and excitedly turned his PC on.
"I can't wait to log into the game! DUSK! Here I come!"
It took a little while for his high-end PC to start. As soon as it started, he opened the game and logged into his ENO account. After a few moments, he could see his defaut character standing in the lobby with some extraordinary skin on. He went to the event section in the game and there it was, DUSK; The Assassin Of Shadows.
"Finally! Let's buy this one quickly then!"
The character was about 799 Nexus points. Rikuya had 800 of them, so it was only a click away. He bought the character without a second thought and equipped it to display in the lobby.
"Woah! It looks so cool! Those white hair of his with a pony tail! They look so good!"
On the lobby screen, in a side, was the friends' section. He clicked on it to see who was online at the time.
"Let's see... Oh! Everybody is here today! Let's invite all of them in the team!"
He invited all seven of them at once.
"Hey there, everyone!"
"Hey Riku-kun!"
"So, how's it going guys?"
"We're all right! Isn't that correct everyone?!"
"Yeah, I guess so... I mean the most of us are, of course!"
"Don't say it like that Mai-chan! I hope that everyone is good, and glad that we're all together now, tell her, Rina-san... Sakura-san..."
"Yeah, you're right Aoi-nii san! Yuzuki is doing good too! Yuzuki just logged into the game and was very happy to see you all there!"
"Aww... How sweet of you, Yuzuki-chan. You're big sis Aoi is really happy to hear that!"
" Hehe... Yuzuki is happy that big sis is happy!"
"Wow! What a cute sisterly love taking place between you two. It's so adorable to see you guys like that. Isn't that right, Kaede...?!"
"So cute! You're totally right, Hikari!"
"Oh! It's Kaede-san and Hikari-san. How are you guys doing?!"
"Oh hello, Aoi, Rikuya and everyone here! We're doing great, right Kaede?!"
"Yeah! totally great!"
"Uhmm...Uhmm...!"
Rikuya gathered all of their attention.
"So guys.... You see..... Isn't there something different about my character today...?"
He wanted to attract all of their attention to his new legendary character; DUSK.
"W-Wait.... No way! It's...DUSK!"
They all couldn't believe what they saw. He had DUSK; The Assassin Of Shadows equipped to be displayed in the game lobby.
"B-But.... W-Was'nt it about 800 NP's?!"
He had a smug smile on his face.
"Yes, it was! Hehe..."
"B-But how did you...?"
"Well...collecting them for straight eight months really paid off i guess."
"Well, let us check.... The deal to buy 100 NP's is about 1200 yen. That means.... You spent a total of 9600 yen only on buying that character!
"Yup... I guess."
"W-What?! You must be very rich then!"
"Well... I'm not."
"How can I jump to conclusions when I haven't even met you in person?! Silly me!"
"Hey Aoi... Now that you mention that. I guess none of us have met in person with eachother except Kaede and Hikari."
"Yeah, you're right, Mai-chan!"
Rikuya had a plan in his mind. Tomorrow was Sunday and a perfect day when they could meet up.
"Wow, Aoi-san! You're a genius!"
"Huh? Why do you say, Riku-kun?"
"I've got an idea. Tomorrow is Sunday right? Why don't we all meet up tomorrow? After all... We live in the same city, right?"
Everyone was impressed by the idea. They all praised Rikuya.
"Wow, that's a perfect plan Riku-kun! Suits me! Wait about all of you, guys?!"
"Suits me too, I guess."
"Wow, Mai-chan!"
"Yuzuki wanna come too!"
"We would be happy, Yuzuki-chan!"
"Me and Kaede are both free too! So we can come, right Kaede?!"
"Totally!"
"Nice, Hikari-san and Kaede-san!"
"What about Rina-san and Sakura-san, Riku-kun?"
"Don't worry about them, Aoi-san!"
"I'll convince both of them. They both just went AFK and are talking to me on text message."
"Then I can leave them both to you, Riku-kun!"
"Yes.... They both just agreed to come tomorrow!"
"Wow! That's nice to hear!"
"So everyone... We'll all meet up tomorrow at 1:00 pm! Okay?!"
