***While Dervin and Elizabeth were busy fucking, Lydia was extremely distraught about Dervin disappearing together with Elizabeth.
Knowing that Elizabeth could never lose to an unconscious person, Elizabeth's knights were barely worried about Elizabeth's sudden teleportation.
"Okay fellow heroes. What you've just seen is the Goddess's power, even though it appeared as if the Goddess was losing against your leader,"
"She in fact had the upper hand from the start, which is why the fight resulted in your leader falling." One of the knights bragged.
"So if you feel like acting up, just know our King is of the same rank as the Goddess. Disobey and he'll be the one to punish you." He added.
The knights acted as though it was Elizabeth's fault for Devin's uncharacteristic fall. The smirks displayed on the knight's face exuded arrogance.
"By royal decree, I, Captain of the Royal Elite Knights, shall supplant the Goddess's intended role, to guide the newly formed Hero Order." A meticulous knight stated.
"To see your stats, you can call your status plate by chanting the word 'Status'. Your level along with your main skill will be displayed. Use your stat points however you want but be wise about it." He said.
"Status."
"Status."
"Status."
Everyone did as instructed.
"Your current stats are pathetic, but you'll grow stronger with time."

"Your main skills are the skills you acquire after your awakening," He explained.
"It's rank serves as a marker of your potential. Meaning, those with SSS-Ranked skills are able to obtain additional skills of SSS rank and lower,"
"You can only learn skills that are related to your class. Additional skills can be acquired through completing certain conditions or using Skill Books,"
"As you can see, your status plates display basic information like your name, race, title, level and your stats along with your skills,"
"In your Race column, it will obviously state you're humans, your title column should be written N/A since you all haven't acquired any titles,"
"Your classes, are something exclusive to you unless your talent awakening was lower than A-rank,"
"Naturally, we'll assist you with your monster subjugation quests. But only until you reach an average level of 100,"
Absorbing the Knight's words, everyone glanced at their status plates. A+ Talented Candidates seemingly appeared to be happy with the status plates displayed in front of their eyes. While most of those of lower ranks were disappointed.
Lydia's face seemingly confused as she saw her race.
"Ehh Mr Knight, my race is not human. It says a transition is in process," She said, confusion written all over her facial expression.
"Ours too!" Serana and Serina shouted at the same time.
"Strangely ours too," Jessica exclaimed for both her and Gwen.
"Yeah, mine too." Mysterious Aisha joined the 'me too' rhythm.
"Huh?This is the first time, I've ever heard of something like that. So I'm not well-informed on what that means, And I'm Sir Edward not Mr Knight." He stated, with his facial expression showing that his uninterested in what they were saying.
""Tonight, you will retire to the East Wing's Royal Chambers. Each of you will occupy a suit designated for your specific... talents." He paused, his voice taking a serious tone.
"When you awaken, you will be presented with a series of trials. These trial challenges will test your resolve, courage, and abilits."
"The trials will unfold in three stages," Sir Edward continued.
"The first stage will assess your individual prowess. The second, your capacity for teamwork and strategy. And the third... will push you to the very limits of your endurance." His eyes narrowed. "Not all of you will succeed. But those who do, will be granted an audience with his Majesty, the King. He will reveal your tue purpose and the nature of the quest ahead."
" Your Chambers were prepared beforehand. You will find attire and equipment suitable for the trials, Rest well, for tomorrow marks the beginning of your journey . You are expected to be prepared, focused, and resolute." With a nod, Sir Edward continued ." Before you retire to your chambers. Follow me, as we go to the Grand Armory, where you will pick you suited armor and weapons. "
With a simple order, Lydia and the rest followed, Sir Edward's gaze lingered on each of them, searching for any telltale signs of rebellion. He knew that even though they seemed to be fine on the outside, they might still be upset about their fallen leader, and some might be thinking of avenging him.
°°°
The grand armory of the castle bustled with activity as the hero candidates gathered to select their preferred equipment. Rows of gleaming armor, polished swords, and enchanted staves lined the walls, awaiting their chosen wielders. Kiara, with her anonymous SSS-ranked talent , gravitated towards the light armor section, her eyes scanning the leather breastplates and greaves. Nearby, Aisha, an SS-ranked candidate, delicately lifted a slender short sword, testing its balance and weight.
"I'll take this one," Kiara declared, shouldering a massive warhammer emblazoned with the emblem of a golden lion. "It's sturdy, reliable, and packs a punch."
In contrast, Serana and Serina, with SSS-ranked mage-related talents, wandered the aisles, running their fingers over the intricate runes etched into various staves. "I feel like, these particular staffs resonate with us," Serana said, pointing at staffs that shimmered with an ethereal glow.
As the candidates finalized their choices, Sir Edward, the captain knight, addressed them. "Your gear is but one aspect of your arsenal. Remember, the first stage of hero training will assess your individual prowess. You'll face trials designed to test your strength, agility, and strategic thinking. Prepare yourselves, for tomorrow's challenges will not be trivial."
With their equipment in hand, the candidates dispersed to their quarters, each lost in their own thoughts. Some meditated, focusing their minds and channeling their energies. Others practiced their newly acquired skills, trying to understand every simple information about the skills. The night air vibrated with anticipation, as the heroes-in-training steeled themselves for the trials ahead.
In the silence, two figures emerged, preparing to escape the castle through the teleportation skill they've acquired, Jessica and Gwen, an S-ranked archer-talent and an S-ranked assassin-talent, gazed out upon the moonlit landscape, their eyes burning with determination. "We will not falter," they whispered, their voices carried away by the wind. "We will find our beloved Dervin." The stars above seemed to twinkle in response, as if acknowledging their conquest.
Without a sound, Jessica and Gwen activated their Teleportation skill, vanishing into the night. The castle's walls, once a symbol of confinement, now served as a mere backdrop for their departure. As they reappeared in a castle yard sprawled with manicured gardens, sparkling fountains, and beautiful statues. Towering stone walls enclosed the grounds, adorned with fluttering pennants and banners. A grand, sweeping staircase led to the castle's entrance, flanked by regal lions carved from gleaming marble. Lush greenery and vibrant flowers filled the air with sweet fragrance.
As they solidified into the unfamiliar surroundings, a strong, heavy scent assaulted their senses, like a perceivable entity that clung to their skin. The air was alive with an almost tangible density, its weight oppressive and disorienting.
It was as if they had stepped into a different world, one where the very atmosphere had a physical presence that pressed upon them. The darkness of the night they had left behind was replaced by a blinding radiance, as if the very fabric of time had been torn apart. The sudden transition from midnight's shadows to morning's vibrant glow left them reeling, their eyes struggling to adjust to the harsh light that now bathed the foreign landscape.
"What is this place??" They asked themselves.
