The classroom erupted into chaos. While our teacher's gruesome demise still fresh, we were paralyzed with fear.
Glowing orbs materialized above each student's head indicating changes were happening.

???????.]
My mind reeled, struggling to grasp the chaos. This "system" seemed to quantify our strengths, but the System's true intentions remained shrouded in mystery. That ominous "???" lingered, echoing danger and fear within me.
My Clairvoyance skill puzzled me. What did it mean to "see through truth and the System"? Amidst the chaos, I scanned the room, noticing stats boxes hovering above each classmate. Was this Clairvoyance at work, or could everyone see these details?
Ken's stats caught my attention:

In the middle of chaos, I cannot stop myself at admiring the impressive numbers in his stats, especially Defense. I wondered what "True Justice" entailed.
While gauging the situation I sensed an ominous aura emanating from the back. A loud, maniacal laugh sent chills down my spine. Turning, I saw Ethan Blackwood, once a quiet classmate, transforming. His body contorted, eyes glowing red.
"I'm not weak anymore! No one can step over me now!" Ethan's voice distorted, like metal scratching glass.
Maniacal laughter filled the room.
Ethan's gaze loomed over the room and finally locking onto a fleeing classmate. He stretched his arms, crushing one of our classmates' head easily.

[Game start!]
The room froze, everyone realized that we were trapped with a demon and have no choice but to either fight or die.
The first one to come to their senses was Ryan. He stood up brimming with confidence. "Protect the weak! Let's try and fight him!" Also drunk with his newfound strength.
His Holy Touch skill - seen with my Clairvoyance - radiated courage.
[|Holy Touch| - physical touch slightly damages the physical body of a demon.]
I think I already know why he's confident.
Next to him, Mia activated a green aura, energizing Ryan. Sophia summoned a shield for him and our other classmates as they charged towards Ethan.
Ethan's stats shocked me:

The sudden death of our classmates made it hard for everyone to solely focus on their fights. Ken's face twisted in anguish. "Why are we not helping, Avi?"
I hesitated, "We can't take him down. Although we were "overwritten" I don't know what that means or how can we use this to our advantage."
"Avi, what's happening?" Emily clung to me. "Are we going to die?"
I can only look at her with worry.
"We'll keep you safe." Ken reassured her while witnessing his classmates being massacred.
I quipped, "I guess there's no school tomorrow." Trying to lighten the mood.
Ken's enraged glance silenced me.
-
We attempted to flee, but the doors and windows were sealed.
"I guess we can't escape," I muttered to the two.
*Boom
A head sized rock was sent into our direction. Luckily we were able to dodge the attack.
"You're next!" Ethan taunted us while continuing his assault on our classmates.
Ken's rage intensified. "We can't just stand here! Avi, join me!"
I hesitated, there is still a lot to take into consideration but I know how hard it is to Ken to see his classmates being killed one by one. I can only stop him for a while but with his sense of justice he will surely try and protect everyone as much as he can.
As he prepared to fight, Ethan killed another classmate.
[Player died.]
The room was carnage. Ryan and a few classmates remained, fighting desperately. With each of our classmates' death, fear can be slowly seen in Ryan's eyes.
Witnessing the imminent defeat of our classmates, Ken angrily charged forward shouting. "Fortress!" And revealing a shine around his body.
He jumped into the fray and tried rescuing whoever is still breathing near Ethan. The demon notices this and grabbed Ken by the shoulder with his sharp nails.
Ken fought back, the glow around his body shining even brighter, but with Ethan's strength he cannot free himself. Ethan continued to scratch, punching and kicking everyone in his vicinity.
Even with Ken's |Fortress| skill, Ethan's onslaught crushed his glowing barrier. I can see blood flowing down his head and Ken's eyes locked onto mine. "Now, Avi!"
The desperation and the sense of defeat I saw in my friends eyes, pushes me to do something even when I am filled with fear myself.
"Avi." Emily grips my arm crying while witnessing our friend getting closer to being killed. "Save him please."
I stood there in panic which then drove me forward towards my friend that is slowly being killed by a demon. With all my might I ran as fast as a could picking up a metal leg of a chair on the way.
"Here goes nothing!" I exclaimed with a nervous smile.
But before even reaching Ethan, everything went black.
