This afternoon, Cupid was assigned to water the plants behind the A-2 classroom, or rather, Cupid himself asked to water the plants instead of everyone else.
When studying in the gifted class, sometimes a few students stay behind to finish their homework or try to solve those annoying advanced exercises.
So it was easy to ask to be on duty instead.
"Today we have~" Cupid hummed with the vase of fresh plants in his hand: "The roses are almost all in bloom."
"Today we also have~" Cupid pointed to another pot of plants: "Pothos has more leaves."
"One, two, three…" Then Cupid sang strange melodies, even he didn't know what song he was singing, but he just kept singing.
'Uhm…I wonder what sea creature the animal program will introduce next today?'
It should be about…
Suddenly, from somewhere nearby, rustling, rustling, a few sounds were heard.
But Cupid didn't pay much attention, he just continued to tap his feet up and down.
"Ah!" A familiar face appeared from somewhere in the bush: "It's you!"
"Shrimp…?"
"Shrimp?" The person blinked in confusion: "Normally, no one I know would call me shrimp…"
"Shrimp…!" Cupid was startled and took a few steps back: "Who…?"
"It's me!"
"Ah…who?"
The person crossed his arms at his waist, his face filled with anger: "Heos! It's Heos! The person who played badminton with you? In PE class last week? Yeah, it was me."
"Ah… ah…" Cupid froze for a moment before suddenly remembering, once he recalled that memory, Cupid started to get angry: "So it was you…"
"Huh? What's wrong? Did I do something to you?"
"No… just ignore it." Cupid turned his back on Heos, continuing his watering work.
"Hey! Don't ignore me like that. We're acquaintances after all." Heos ran over, hugging Cupid's arm and whining, only for Cupid to quickly shake his hand off right away.
Cupid looked at Heos with a terrifying gaze, causing him to unconsciously step back.
"Ah, I mean, A-1 and A-2 are next to each other so… Ahahaha…" Heos bowed his head in apology and explained why he jumped out from the bushes as if Cupid was listening to the whole story from beginning to end: "The thing is, I was scolded by the student council president for loitering too much, and that I should participate in the excellent student competition this month. But I refused, and when I begged the president not to appoint me to the cram school, so I was chased out to the garden to sit because I was too noisy in class…"
"Tck."
"Did you just click your tongue at me?"
"No… I clicked my tongue at the worm over here…"
"Huh?! Worm?" Heos quickly shouted in joy: "Where? Where, let me see." He immediately poked his head into the flowers and Cupid pointed: "Where is the worm…?"
Cupid frowned at Heos, wondering what the worst thing that could come to this A-1 student's face would be if he were to put this devil deep into that rose bush.
Gently shaking his head, Cupid dismissed that dark plot from his mind. Well, people probably only said that about Nova because of the rumors, so… well… Cupid will let him off this time. If he still paid attention to Nova through those backbiting words, he might think that Nova was a bad person…would Heos?
Cupid was fine, he had a habit of ignoring everything, so those backbiting words couldn't touch him, but he was a little worried about Nova…
Well… if this elite male from the elite class can stop talking about all those dam rumors for once, Cupid can try to let him do as he pleases.
"Hey, Cupid. Can I ask you something…? Since you're a student from class A-2, you should know better than me about this."
"Go ahead."
"Are you as close to Nova as the rumors say?"
Suddenly…Cupid felt that there was someone worth killing off…no, no, Heos was just curious, yes…just legitimate curiosity!
"Yes…you could say that. Because Nova and I have been friends for a long time, so we are close…that's all."
"Really?" Heos's eyes sparkled, continuing to ask another question: "So do you need Nova's help with your homework? I heard that your math score is weaker than the others, don't you ask Nova to help you? Or do you not want to be exposed as asking a good student for homework because it sounds like cheating?"
Nothing is legitimate about this anymore…only…kill!
"W…what's wrong?" Heos panicked, the smile on his lips suddenly disappeared when he saw Cupid's face getting angrier: "Did I say something wrong? Well…it might not be right, because these are just my wild guesses. Maybe you know how to do the test yourself so you don't ask too many questions, but when the scores come out, they don't look very good...that just my theory so…"
At that very moment, Cupid was wondering if there was any way to shut this guy up.
If he killed someone and hid the body, Cupid was afraid if he was found, it would be very tiring...not to mention, he was a student in class A-1. Suppose he was a student in a bad class, often went out to party, then if he disappeared one day, everyone would think, he must have gone to plunge into social evils. But he was a student in class A-1, and was invited by the school's student council president to participate in the excellent student exam...tck, this is getting way too difficult…
It seems that God has not attempted to give Cupid any easy of a challenge.
"No...please don't put your mind into my business...my bad grades have nothing to do with you."
"Cupid!" Heos suddenly shouted: "I'm just curious~! You're a prominent figure in the school."
"I'm just helping people with my ability... this has nothing to do with studying."
"Well... you're not wrong…but still!"
"I'm going back to class, go play with the worms and bugs in the garden." Cupid grumpily walked away, he no longer had any interest in taking care of the garden, now he just wanted to go back to class to get his things and prepare to go home.
But unexpectedly, Heos followed him all the way to the door of class A-2...
"Oh, Cupid." One of the students in class A-2, who was packing up after finishing the exercises the teacher gave him, quickly called out his name. He seemed a bit surprised to see Heos standing right behind Cupid, but he didn't pay much attention to it. His hand pointed to the table at the corner of Cupid's classroom: "Someone sent you a letter. They said to open it quickly when you return to class."
"Thank you." Cupid nodded in response, ignoring Heos, he walked closer to his desk, gently taking the white letter in his hand.
Thinking for a while, Cupid smelled trouble somewhere. A white letter, without a name or class, could belong to a boy or a girl, but there was a high probability that this was not a love letter, but...
"Is someone looking for you?" Heos asked excitedly: "Can I help? I'm free today! Do you need anyone to help?"
"Uh...!" Cupid wanted to go home as soon as possible...
Looking around the classroom, it seemed that Nova had been called to the teacher's office again. Even though Nova's house and his house were far apart, they often went home together, most of the time they went home together because Nova asked Cupid to.
He gently opened the letter, took out a piece of paper inside.
"To Cupid…" When Heos tried to squeeze his head in to read, Cupid slowly moved his feet to the other side, causing Heos to step back: "Ah, sorry! You just read it…"
"Uhm…" Cupid glanced at the words, making sure that this wasn't some kind of love letter before lowering the letter for Heos to see.
- To Cupid. I need your help. Can we… meet behind the cafeteria to discuss this?
