"Anyways if your goal is to get stronger, you'll need to work hard and get proper rest, so don't you think it's a bit late for you to be out. Doesn't Kakashi have you out doing missions in the morning." Kurenai suggested.
"How do you know that?" Sasuke reply's
Its customary for the Hokage-sama to personally hand out the Genin's first missions each year for the graduated class. Kurenai grins while sipping her sake.
I see, well I should be fine since Kakashi gave us an extra day to rest before we have to report for our first D ranks.
That should give me enough time to explore the village and do the first part of my training. I first gotta work on chakra, then chakra control, I also can't forget weight training, Taijutsu practice since that's a basic skill required all the way into Boruto, and lastly but certainly not least being Genjutsu. Saying that last part while staring at the red eyed woman, already formulating a plan.
Oh so you already know you'll be given D ranks, that's sort of a tradition to build teamwork. She says while putting down her cup.
"Their pointless errands we could have done in the academy." I can't help and respond.
"True but you still are required to complete a total of 15 D-ranks before you can be given anything higher. As well as get the approval from the Hokage and Jonin Sensei of course." Hana says as if she's reciting from a textbook.
"Hai Hai" I say not looking forward to the next two weeks.
"Oi boss, I need another plate of Mochi Dango with mango syrup and a bottle of Sake."
"Hai coming right up." Sayed the old man working the kitchen, not batting an eye to a 12 year old ordering sake as if this happens every year.
The other 3 occupants of the table stare wide eyed at me, unable to speak."
"What?" I respond by raising one eyebrow. I was legally drinking in my past life and I'm not waiting some 10 years or whenever the people around me deem it acceptable.
"Oi Gaki no can do, you're too young to start drinking." Anko says as if she was a wise elder.
"That's right there's no need to drink just to appear older." Kureani retorts believing the kid is trying to impress them.
"Sip sip sip" Yugao continues to sip her sake as she is not interested in the advice as she doesn't believe in their level of morality. Who is Yugao? She's in Anbu and has seen a lot of fucked up shit inside and out of the Land of Fire. And children out there aren't sheltered from these hardships. So a junior wanting to drink is nothing new to her. Heck she's surprised he hasn't drunk sooner, as she was the one to find him after the massacre but she won't reveal this.
"Zuzu I'm sure your parents wouldn't want to see you picking up bad drinking habits so early into your career." Says a mournful Hana.
I sigh as I didn't want to have this conversation. I point to the leaf forehead protector with my thumb. "This headband signifies that I'm a ninja that serves under the Hokage-sama. The day I passed the graduation exam I became a shinobi. Even if I failed Kakashi-sensei's test I would have been put into the Genin Corps or other departments. I signed up to accept missions that would endanger my life. You three should know more than me, the outside world is a dangerous place where any false step and you could die. Heck you just might be unlucky and run into an S class missing-nin."
*I cross my fingers just like I did with my team introductions.*
"40 percent of academy students die within their first year of being a genin. And another 20 percent die within the next 5 years. And that number keeps increasing until you get to the Saidames age where there's only 6 left out of the entire generation."
*The 4 women instinctually jump as they can't help but remember the friends that died in the last war and the many comrades that were captured, tortured, or met much worse fates. *
His Dango and Sake arrive in front of him and he takes a bite of the dango then continues. "To counteract the high mortality rate during the first shinobi war the Nidaime Hokage made the rule allowing for younger clan heads to pursue arranged marriages within the clan so they don't go extinct. Causing more young shinobi to start families at a younger age so they could leave behind a legacy and relieve their stress. Thus the current law and slogan was made. Old enough to kill then old enough to drink then old enough to fuck."
Saying the last sentence while drinking in between his words to make his point more dramatic.
"Sigh" Kurenai droops her shoulders as she won't be able to convince the boy.
"Ahahaha don't tell me you couldn't keep it in your pants, let me guess you went down to the whorehouse to find a cute and gentle bar girl to call you." "Sasuke-sama!" Anko says while holding her ribs laughing.

Sasuke-kun It's much too early for you to be thinking about having children. Says a flustered Hana.
"Awwee!?" Hana-chan, are you afraid some young hostess will get a hold of duck-chan? Teases Anko.
Duck-chan? Sasuke looks at her with a puzzled expression.
"Oh would you prefer broody-kun, feel free to tell me I do take requests." Anko replies.
Sasuke shrugs
Besides, boys do this all the time. Heck, I remember when Asuma, Genma, and Iruka went running down to the red-light district to schedule a girl.
Kurenai can't help but glare and bite down her Dango harshly as she remembers encountering Asuma afterwards. Then giving him the cold shoulder for the next month.
"You wouldn't do that would you Zuzu, please tell me you haven't gone down to the brothels."
I turn to Hana and notice her pouting not looking at me.
