EVELYN'S POV
Walking into Lucas's living room, his hand firm on my waist, sent an electric thrill racing through me. The air was thick with unspoken tension as we settled on the couch, my words tumbling out before I could stop them.
"Lucas, I need to apologize. I was wrong about everything," I said, my voice trembling with raw honesty.
He smiled, a quiet confidence playing on his lips. "Don't worry about it, Evelyn. Just wait and see what I have planned for you in the coming days."
The intrigue in his tone gripped me. "A hint, Lucas, please," I pressed, leaning closer, my pulse quickening. "I'm dying to know!"
His laughter was soft, almost teasing. "Can you and your team finish the final touches before the full moon?" he asked, his words laced with a challenge.
"Of course," I said, the determination in my voice matching his intensity. "We'll make it happen."
