Chapter 3 - Theresa's Magic

Eren's heart raced as Theresa, her wings gleaming with an unnatural light, fluttered gently around him. He couldn't hear any words, but somehow, he felt them. The messages from the butterfly went straight into his mind, clear and crisp, without a sound. It was as if she was speaking to him through his thoughts, bypassing his ears entirely.

Theresa's delicate proboscis hovered near him, and a rush of warmth spread across Eren's lower body. He looked down, confused, and then felt the wet sensation vanish as if it were simply erased. She had used magic, telekinetically lifting him slightly as the dirty diaper was replaced with a fresh one. It was a strange, comforting sensation, and Eren couldn't help but giggle, feeling a lightness he hadn't expected.

"Such a curious one," Theresa's voice whispered in his mind, Eren gasped as her wings flapped gently, and the air around him shifted. With a sudden, playful flick of energy, he found himself floating—his tiny body gently rising from the blanket. The world around him shifted as he soared through the air, a sense of weightlessness and exhilaration filling him.

His small heart raced with a mix of excitement and pure joy. This was magic, something far beyond anything he had ever imagined. It was not just about spells or powers—it was an experience that tingled his skin, made his breath catch in his throat, and filled him with wonder. The sensation of flying, even if just for a moment, made him feel like anything was possible.

Theresa fluttered around him, her wings leaving a trail of soft, glowing particles that danced in the air like falling stars. Then, with a graceful flick of her delicate wings, she conjured a group of tiny butterfly-shaped lights, each shimmering with its radiant glow. The lights fluttered around Eren, performing a playful dance, twisting and twirling in mid-air. One of them circled his head, brushing against his cheek, and he burst into laughter, reaching out to catch it.

"Wu wawa wawa" came out of his mouth but he thought, 'This is... incredible!' Eren's tiny mind thought broke through the exhilaration, his eyes wide with awe as the lights continued to dance around him, changing colors. He felt as if he were soaring through a dream, the magic enveloping him in joy.

Theresa's magic filled the air with small lights, glowing with soft hues of blue, gold, and pink, which appeared like stars coming to life, each taking the shape of a butterfly. They fluttered in a synchronized dance, their wings shimmering like gossamer under the soft glow of the room. The butterflies darted and spun, leaving trails of glowing sparkles that lingered for a moment before dissipating.

As they moved, they performed tricks in mid-air—some swirling in perfect spirals, while others darted through the air in rapid zigzags, creating a dazzling display. They twisted, flipped, and twirled, their light shifting in rhythm with their movements, like miniature fireworks on the wings of each butterfly. Some clustered together in delicate formations, swirling around each other before bursting outward in a flurry of colors, only to reform into new shapes.

The butterflies weren't just pretty—they were playful, full of life. They circled Eren, brushing gently against his skin, their soft wings leaving a cool, refreshing sensation wherever they touched. Some would dart close, only to leap away at the last second, teasing him to follow. Others would form tight circles around his head, as if playing a game of tag, making Eren giggle and reach out to catch them, though they always fluttered away just out of reach.

The air around him crackled with magic, the atmosphere thick with the beauty and energy of the butterflies' dance. Each butterfly was a tiny spark of enchantment, weaving its own story in the air as it flitted gracefully around him. The soft glow they emitted bathed the room in an ethereal light, giving the space a dreamlike quality. The lights didn't just illuminate the room—they breathed life into it, painting the walls and ceiling with streaks of shimmering color that flickered and faded like the remnants of a forgotten song.

Eren felt a thrill of excitement deep in his chest as he watched the magical display, the sensation of magic tingling in his fingertips and the air around him. It was as if the very essence of wonder had come to life, filling him with joy that reached into every corner of his being. The butterflies' light was more than just beautiful; it was a language of its own, one that spoke directly to his heart, filling him with an awe he had never known before.

Theresa fluttered closer, her wings sparkling brightly, and her voice chimed in his mind, full of warmth and cheer. "Magic is a wonderful thing, isn't it, little one? It can fill your heart with happiness, just like these lights! There's so much joy to be found in it, as long as you embrace it."

Eren's laughter rang out again, his excitement bubbling over. He kicked his legs, spinning with delight as the lights danced around him, trailing their soft glow.

Theresa twirled through the air, performing acrobatic flips, voice full of playful energy. "And you are flying, my little one! Magic can take you anywhere you wish. It brings such wonder and joy, it's like a gift that never ends, as long as you believe."

Eren's eyes sparkled as he marveled at the magical display. Theresa's words made his heart race with excitement, feeling as though this moment, this magic, was all for him. He had never felt so alive, so full of wonder.

With a lighthearted laugh, Theresa continued, "But remember, my dear, magic is like the wind. It sweeps you up and carries you to places you've never dreamed of... but when the time comes, it gently guides you back down. There's nothing to fear, only joy in the journey. Just trust the magic and enjoy the ride!"

The lights twinkled around him in a dazzling array of colors, each one swirling and performing tricks in the air. Eren's joy was overwhelming as he floated weightlessly, surrounded by the beauty and excitement of magic. For now, there were no doubts, only wonder. Theresa's cheerful voice filled his mind like a warm melody, and Eren was lost in the magic, his heart full of dreams and possibilities.

He had seen scenes like this in movies and animes, where the magic was always beautiful and grand. But now, experiencing it firsthand, it felt worlds apart. The excitement was more intense, the colors brighter, the sensations deeper. It was like living in a dream that wrapped around him, a feeling he couldn't put into words. The butterflies' wings made a soft, melodic hum, and the light they emitted bathed the room in a warm, golden glow. It wasn't just a display of magic—it was real, and it was happening to him.

Theresa's tone was slow, comforting, and soft, like the gentle rustle of leaves in a quiet breeze. Each word seemed to wrap around him like a warm, reassuring hug, its cadence steady and soothing. There was no rush in her voice, just a calm, nurturing presence that made him feel safe and at ease, as if every syllable was carefully chosen to bring comfort. She spoke as though they had all the time in the world(which he actually did or maybe not) her voice like a tender lullaby, gentle enough to calm any lingering doubts or fears in his heart.

Thersa gently hovered near Eren. Her movements were slow and deliberate now, sensing that the whirlwind of excitement had passed. With a delicate swirl, she guided him back toward his crib, her magic placing him gently. Eren felt the tender pull, the weightlessness of being lowered carefully and safely until he was nestled back into the warmth of his soft blankets.

The creature's wings beat in a calm, rhythmic pattern, casting a soft glow that bathed the room in a serene light. She lingered for a moment, gazing at Eren with a look that felt almost maternal, full of care and tenderness. "That's enough for one night little one," she murmured in his mind, tone gentle and reassuring. "Too much excitement for such a small heart."

Eren's eyes grew heavy as he settled into the crib, his body relaxed from the magic he had just experienced. The creature leaned closer, its wings creating a soft, melodic hum, like a lullaby made of the air itself. As Eren's tiny eyelids fluttered closed, the creature began to sing—a quiet, soothing melody that echoed through his mind.

The song was gentle and slow, each note filled with warmth and peace. The magic in the air softened, growing quieter with every word until the room was filled only with the calm rhythm of the creature's lullaby. The notes floated like whispers, weaving through the air, gently easing Eren into a peaceful slumber. Each note was like a promise, offering safety and tranquility as it hummed him into rest.

As the last note faded, the creature watched over Eren, its presence calm and protective. It hovered quietly for a moment longer, the soft glow of its wings barely visible in the darkness, before retreating into the sleeping mother, leaving Eren to sleep peacefully, embraced by the stillness of the room and the magic that lingered in the air.
