The cold wind hit Eirene clear pale skin making her to shiver in her thin cloth. Her eyes tightly shut as she gasped for air. After minutes of battling in her nightmare she opened her long lustrous eyelash with shaky breath and distorted hair.
Her small pale face held some fear as she stared at the ceiling. This wasn't the first time she had such nightmares were she was being chased by a black wolf with blue eyes but this time it caught up with her. Her deep brown eyes darted to the door as she held a knock on the door.
"Come in," said Eirene in a hoarse voice.
Madam Mandy who had taken care of Eirene from young age came in with a worried expression.
"Young princess Eirene today is your sister's send off and the king wants every member of the royal family there," said madam Mandy
Eirene gasped as she remembered her sister Alicia was to be send off with her mate Prince Albert today. She quickly rush to get ready,
pulling out from the bath, she wore a green dress which complemented her brown eyes. She had never being the type to wear makeup or dress pretty but she decided to look pretty for her sister's special day.
Back in the throne room, king Cassius raised his head with pride as he watched everyone wine and dine as he felt happy his eldest daughter now has a mate from one of the influential kingdoms. He had always held a soft spot for Alicia. The murmuring and happy atmosphere came to a rude stop when Eirene came in. Her long gown cascaded down the marble floor as she walked in, her usual pale face was looking more beautiful than before.
"Hey sister, plan on seducing someone today…. uhh," spat Alicia as she jealously gawked at her sister. This sister of hers was looking more beautiful than her which didn't sit well with her.
"Come sit with I and your father," said queen Belial with bitterness, she was sure she told this stepdaughter of hers not to overly dress but as usual she does as she pleases. Eirene reluctantly sat close to Belial, she had dress up so much in the hope that her father remembers it's her birthday but as usual he forgot this time. A hot tear dropped down Eirene eyes as she bit her lip making them slightly swollen. It is a special occasion for the fact that she had to be called from her little room. She has turned eighteen today, at least this suffering and isolation would end as her mate would come for her soonthought Eirene in her little head.
"Eirene is everything okay," asked Albert Alicia's mate as he noticed the tear from Alicia's eyes.
"Ye.. yeah am fine, just a little dust," uttered Eirene with a sad smile.
"Why won't she be fine, my kid sister has always been reserved," commented Anne the second princess.
Everywhere in the mooncrest park was busy as it was their alphas eldest daughter ceremony.
The cool breeze hit Eirene as she stood in her favourite spot, she left the party earlier as she felt suffocated. Her deep brown eyes held some pain and grief, her curly golden hair cascaded down her shoulders.
"Happy birthday little mouse!" blurted Asher out of the blue with a wide grin. She has been the only close friend to Eirene from the time she was brought to the park.
"I wish dad remembers my special day too." whispered Eirene.
"Alpha must be busy maybe that's why he forgot," claimed Asher.
"He always forgets, not even a happy birthday from him for once, am I not his daughter ?" Eirene wasn't the party type. Since her presence was insignificant why stay there?
Alicia stood at a far corner as she thought of ways to make her self pitiful. She knew her mate had a soft spot for her sister but she wasn't ready to accept that fact.
"Mother did u see how Eirene made herself look pitiful there, am sick of her dramas," spat Alicia.
"You don't have to worry I will put that pathetic creature in her place soon," said Queen Belial.
A wicked grin formed on Alicia's face as an idea stuck her head. "Before keeping that creature in its place let me teach her a lesson that she will never forget first," whispered Alicia. Belial smiled as Alicia whispered inaudible words in her ear.
Eirene closed her eyes tightly as she relived the moment with her mum, a bitter smile crept her face as she remembered her mum would prepare her favourite dish on every of her birthdays.
"Hey little miss," voiced a young man who seem to be one of prince Albert' companions.
"Who are u …?" stammered Eirene.The young man eyes held mischief as he roamed her body with his eyes . He smacked his mouth like a psychopath which made Eirene stepped back in fear but the young man kept moving forward until he had her cornered in a dark place.
"What do u want from me?" asked Eirene as she trembled in fear.
"Let's not pretend to be innocent here young princess," stated the young man lecherously.
Eirene's heart skipped as the young man pressed her tightly against the wall, she felt disgusted as he lean closer. An ear piercing scream escaped her mouth which earn her a hard slap from the young man
" You little punk" cursed the man. Alicia smirked as she looked at the scene from a corner, she immediately went to the direction of the throne room with an evil grin.
"Sorry to disturb u my father but this isssue needs your urgent intervention",said Alicia with a solemn expression.
Alicia continued as the king nod with affirmation" I just saw Eirene sister trying to seduce one of my mate'a close friend", spoked Alicia with an insincere emotion. The king's eyes held fury as he stared at Alicia.
"How dared that little bastard" roared king Cassius as he descended the throne with wild step followed by the others.
Eirene eyes turned red as she mutely watch the young man torn her dress, his eyes rolled back as he got a glimpse of her clear white skin. He brought his lips down to get a taste of her body which made Eirene to shiver in disgust as she cried silently. She had kept her body for only her mate before but now this psyco was forcing her.
"Eirene…!" Roared the king,Eirene shuddered as she heard the voice.She closed her eyes aggrieved as she burst into tears.
"Oh king I am sorry for ruining your mood like this but your daughter couldn't wait to have a mate," lied Theodore with bowed head.
"I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," stated Belial venomously. King Cassius gaze held disgust and disappointment, he always knew his daughter to be reserved and quiet but not this shameless.
"You will be flogged till I have confirmed that u are now in your full senses," said the king as he turned his back. Eirene broke down in tears as she held the king spoke, yes it has always been like this since childhood. Her purnishment was always severe and harsh but If it were to be her sister's nobody will say a word about it.
"Father please this purnishment is too harsh for sister Eirene, please father forgive her," pleaded Alicia with teary eyes. Eirene knew how fake Alicia was, she had always love making herself look pitiful and nice. The king didn't even pay attention to her but continued in his step.
"Theodore did u try to Harass young princess," voiced Albert. He could see how sincere Eirene was and he knew Theodore better than anyone else, he could be a pain in the neck. Alicia shivered on hearing her mate spoke.
"My sister loves to seduce men a lot, even her mother also seduce my father", lied Alicia. She flashback to when she had asked Theodore to seduce Eirene in exchange for her body.
"How could someone speak so ill of her sister naturally, why do I feel that your relationship with your sister is bad?".
