Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Gangsters

An woke up to the sound of bells. "Oh my god I was about to die. Thankfully I'm fine." Where am I? She thought. She looked around. People dressed in weird uniforms were carrying scrolls and seemed hurried. Maybe I can ask someone for help. She thought. She walked towards a rather tall man with a weirdly shaped mustache and asked, "Can  you tell me where I am?" The tall guy hesitated and murmured "No time… No time…" And hastily scurried away. What? She thought. Just what was going on? There were people mostly around the same age as her. They sat on the ground, confused. There were around fifty or so people sitting beside her. Suddenly she spotted someone very familiar in the crowd of people.

Misy was squatting on the floor. She ran over to her. "Are you okay?" She asked, concerned. " I am fine,I want to die " She whispered.. "It's just…" She looked over to a group of gangstas and a burly man beating up a kid. "I swear, I tried to kill  them but they were too strong." "Actually, you don't have to kill them" an corrected to.An looked over. The big burly man rolled up his sleeves and stomped on the kid. He seemed to be their leader based on how the group of gangstas were treating him. "Hey boss, let's sell her to the family as promised. We might even get an extra 5000000 dollars as paycheck!

An couldn't believe her ears. They were here in broad daylight and with tons of people here and no one was paying any attention to the girl? She stomped over and said, "Let her go… or else… I will show you my dark side. Heh heh" The group of men stopped.

They looked at her and blinked. This was the first time someone had faced them head on. Sure, some people came and tried to help, but they were just rookies who couldn't even deal real damage. "Hey boss, let's teach this girl a lesson and sell her too." Their boss nodded. This was not a bad idea. He took a bull stance and breathed, "Come at me little girl. An took a step forward, and another. With each step dust began to settle. She clapped her arm and with a gust of wind, the group of men knocked into an abandoned building and broke the wall, creating a dent in the wall.

"What? This girl is too strong, let's run away now, when no one is looking. They quickly fled the scene. An didn't know what had come over her. But it wasn't the time to be pondering about things that didn't matter. What actually matters was to help the little girl up. Misa stumbled to her feet and came over. "Are you okay?" She asked. "If you need any help, I can find a nurse for you." The little girl looked stunned. She sprang to her feet and quickly scrambled away. "City rats as usual." A posh voice came over. "The Awakening Ceremony is about to begin. Why don't you take a seat?"
