Arranging her bag neatly, Mitchelle tucked her blouse into her skirt like a real working class lady. Today was the beginning of her revenge plan if only she was to be accepted and it will be in full motion.

Taking in the surroundings of the two bedroom apartment she tried to get for her and her mom,her mom was now in the psychiatric hospital.

That only was a push for her to deal with every one included in this menace caused to her family,her uncle was now paying his sins in jail.

But the wound was still there,how everything turned dark within a blink of an eye,her father coming back happily everyday with gifts for her and her mom till the day he began coming back home sad with his company crashing.

The funds of the company falling exponentially like a secret weapon was doing that,who knew it was her uncle whom her father had helped. Taking him into the company was a failed experiment and she had learnt from that.

Her father had loved him but still he took the company reveling the sight of her father and her family. The next was the CEO who bought the company knowing it wasn't her uncle's still they had bought it.

"Please miss where are you going?"asked the receptionist at the front of the desk of the Quinn empire.

She had boarded a cab to the headquarters,tailing everything about them she knew how many companies and firms they owned all around the world.

Knowing all these was a way to know how to strategize her plan on getting on in a decent and compatible manner.

"Umm…I came to apply for the position of a secretary"she almost raised her brow. The receptionist scanned her,this was the thirtieth person or should she say fortieth person,when you have a handsome young man for a CEO. What do you expect?

She only pitied Mitchelle ,she doesn't think she has a chance in those sea of ladies upstairs waiting for their turn of interview,or they haven't interviewed any and chosen by now.she sighed.

"Take the elevator to the twelfth floor,I should say you will find your way from there" from there she will be able to see the girls and ladies standing impatiently by the door of the room designated to them.

"Thank you" mitchelle thanked her and found her way in,as the receptionist has said she really found her way in with the sea of women here. Does she really hold a candle to them?

Mitchelle was a brilliant girl in college but that was when she was in the college, who knew about that, even with her clean resume. Will they accept her?.

Taking a seat in the hall after taking a number,this was how big they were and she came out to be the forty eight person out of whatever.

After some hours, which she didn't even notice had bypassed, it got to her turn. She was anxious but didn't let it come onto her face.

This was for her family, she chanted to herself.

She knocked on the door of the interviewer "come in" a raspy voice resounded inside the room. Taking little steps inside she the office, her eyes scanned the white walls, with book shelves that had not more ten to fifteen books if she would count properly and not peer at it like her enemies. She found a way to her seat facing the MR. behind the desk. The floor to ceiling window following after his chair. The office looked scanty like he was just promoted and hadn't fixed things properly. However, it was nice.

"Since you already found your way to the chair,I will assume you aren't nervous like the ones before you.I wouldn't like to waste our time and know you must have looked through our qualifications for the position of a secretary?"

"Yes sir"

"Oh don't,you can just call me Mr Howard, that will be easy for you"Howard smiled and she only hummed to him, not ready to spout nonsense from her mouth. She was so nervous, she could ramble away her secrets, if she opened her mouth to spout a single word.

"Can I take a look at your cv if you are with it?"she handed it to him from her bag.Howard scoured the resume for any scratch and all the while he found none.

He liked Mitchelle at first glance to take this position, she looked meek,dressed in modest clothing. The ones that he had interviewed were dressed like they came in for some fashion show or to seduce someone which he didn't appreciate and found a clause in their cv or telling them they would talk to them after some months which he knew was false.

"Your resume says relationship,hope it won't prompt any dysfunction in your work?"he eyed her waiting for an answer. The last secretary had been a flop due to her relationship issues which was against the contract but still.

"No, no it won't"she wanted to break up with him,she had caught him with a girl making out at the club last night, this was the opportunity, not like they ever had a thing going anyway.

Maybe this was a sigh to let that fool go. Everything moved well until Howard raised his head up smiling eerily at her.

No offence, that was how she had found it. He smiled too much, it looks scary "we will get back to you miss mitchelle,you may have a chance"

"Thank you"she stood up shaking his hand which he had brought out for her.

"You are welcome"

Mitchelle left the building to the hospital to see her mom,who only stared at her like a doll. The muteness which her mom showcased enraged her the more knowing the culprits were walking around freely.

Holding her mom's hand while she slept tears fell from her eyes,the most efficient way was to put her to sleep.

If really she was awake she wasn't sure if she could have held her hand this way knowing how a crazy woman behaves. More tears fell from her eyes "mom"she called "I applied to the company today mom I applied. I don't know if I'm going to be chosen or not but I know that I will take revenge on all those who put you this way I promise,I promise you mom"she squeezed her hand.

"Mitchelle" Amelia cried from her sleep with tears slipping from the side of her eyes "I love you mitchelle stay safe my baby"

Mitchelle stood up with force touching her mom's face, she cleaned the tear that had fallen from her eyes. "They will pay for what they did to you mom"she proclaimed.
