Chapter 21 - Chapter 20 (Final Chapter Of Book 2)

Few months have gone by since Ragnarok, the world has changed. After humanity won against Monster Alliance, monsters began to fear humans. Those who survived the war are in hiding, trying to flee from the bloodlust of humanity. Although, I don't really care about what happens to the remaining monsters or what would happen to the power balance, I was happy for myself. Not only have I gained the Spirit of Light and Strength and got to have the Four Spirit Kings on my side, I was able to kill Cecilia as well. Now, I have two skulls dangling on my hips.

I caressed the skull of Cecilia while looking at the horizon from a distance. "Alexis and Cecilia are now dead. There are only two left." I said to Hazmuth who was on my side.

"Looks like you are not going to rest yet, princess." Hazmuth said, concern displayed on his face.

"You shouldn't be worried too much, Hazmuth. The rest will be an easy task to deal with. For now, what I want you to do is to focus on the task I have given." I looked at Hazmuth. "Will you do that for me?"

Hazmuth smiled and nodded. "Of course, your highness."

If I was a kid back then, I would've proposed on the spot to Hazmuth. He is indeed handsome. Even at his age, he still looks fresh 18 years old. But times have changed now, Ashe. We have important things to deal with. Let's settle with love later.

"Come to think of it, just looking at your achievements now, you are like your father instead." Hazmuth said, catching me off guard.

"My father?" I asked. I never thought about who my father was. While I was a kid, my mother would disclose topics related to my father. "What kind of a man was my father?"

"He was a great and strong father. I still remember that day when your mother and father first met. Queen Ashe thought your father was a monster because he was severely wounded to the point he was unrecognizable. So she tried to eradicate him. In the end, she found out he was a person, not a monster." Hazmuth chuckled. He stopped, wiping off the tears that were about to fall from his eyes. "Such good times." He added.

I sat there quietly, watching the sun that was setting from the horizon. I never thought of my father, but just seeing how Hazmuth speaks of him calmly and in a respectable way made me think that he was probably a good guy.

"What happened to him, though?" I asked.

Hazmuth's smile quickly disappeared. "Three decades ago, a portal opened near the borders of Borne. Your father was a General at that time while your mother was an officer in charge of a big group of knights. They led the army to the other side of the portal. However…"

"However?"

"Only your mother and five soldiers that went with them got back. But they were all heavily wounded. We tried to get back up inside to rescue the others that were still alive inside, but the portal closed. Your mother, who woke up from a coma after a few days, when she heard that your father didn't come back safely, was in pain. She loved him the most, even when the favors were against them." Hazmuth said.

"Wait, what do you mean when the favor was against them?" I asked, confused about what he just said.

Hazmuth continued. "Your father came from a poor family, while your mother was born from a royal blood that has the right to the throne. But your father, thanks to his hard work, was able to climb the rank of General. But despite his position, the royal families were rejecting him to be the King."

"That is also the reason why Queen Ashe became a queen, little Ashe." Judge Leo walked from behind.

"What do you mean?" I asked, getting more confused about my mother and father's origin.

"She became a queen to get rid of the royals who rejected your father. She even killed her "husband" that she got forcefully married to." Judge Leo said.

"Sounds like my mother." I jokingly added.

Hazmuth and Judge Leo chuckled. "Yes. It does sound like her."

"Are you curious about your mother and father, little Ashe?" Judge Leo asked.

"As much as I want to hear more, I know you are not here to chit chat. Especially after seeing you losing your left arm." I looked at Judge Leo's empty left hand which was cut during his own journey.

Judge Leo sighed. "It was worth it. Because I have news for you, Queen Of Void." I cringed after hearing that title. After showcasing my power during the war a few months ago, mankind started cheering for me and calling me lots of names and titles fitting for a hero. One of them was Queen Of Void. I hated that. That just sounds way too over exaggerated.

"Please stop. I don't like that title." I said in cringe.

"Well, that is what humanity has been calling you now." Judge Leo chuckled.

"Enough. What is the news?"

"I found Vivian's whereabouts." He said. A smile formed on my lips. "But it will be a long journey for you, as she is not in this realm." He added.

"It's fine. Where is she?" I asked, not caring what kind of journey awaits for me.

"Right now, she is in a realm called Heavenly Realm. She is a ruler there and a general of the Temple's Heavenly Army." Judge Leo said while looking up at the sky. I did the same too, so did Hazmuth.

"A ruler and a general? Sounds to me that she is trying to be like my mother." I said.

"Be careful. She is different from Alexis and Cecilia. She has the power of the Heavenly King who rules the Heavenly Realm. I do not know how or what happened to how she became the ruler of that realm nor how she became a general, but the Heavenly King is on her side." Judge Leo warned.

I sighed and I stood up. "Well, thanks for the information. Now I know who to kill next. How about Nashia? Any news about her?"

Judge Leo shakes his head. "No. Not yet. We are still looking for her."

"It's alright. Just keep looking. I know where to head next."

Above this realm, lies another realm where higher beings than us live. The Heavenly Realm. Those who lived in that realm are called "Angels". They are those who protect the realm of the living from the demons. The five beings that I fought who called themselves "Queen's Rulers" were actually Vivian's five knights under her. It looks like she has been stalking me since then.

I don't mind though. Stalk me as she wants, I will still hunt her down and bring her from her throne.

Shall we? Let's go to our next destination… The Heavenly Realm.
