Chapter 70 - Shot

"Ahh..."

Sylvia covered her abdomen and felt the moisture gradually come out. Looking at the bright red of her palms, she suddenly felt dizzy. He suddenly felt weak all over. He let out a hoarse scream and fell backwards, collapsing.

"Sister Sylvia!"

Seeing Sylvia lying in the van, Sarah screamed anxiously and wanted to run forward immediately.

Aside from Brian and Allan, he had the best relationship with Sylvia. Seeing the other person fall after being shot, he wanted to climb up and save her without even thinking about it.

"Watch out, there are still enemies!"

But before she could move, Brian quickly blocked her path, put his arms around her, lowered her body, and they hid behind a bunker.

"Ha ha--!"

"Wilfred didn't expect to be able to see you again!"

From the shadow behind the truck on the other side, a young man with a head shaped like a rooster's comb pushed a cute girl with her mouth gagged and her hands tied behind her back, and laughed wildly in the direction where Brian and the others were hiding.

"Damn, Ogden, I'll kill you!" Wilfred raised his head and discovered that the girl was his daughter Anna. Seeing his daughter's eyes full of tears and unable to fight, she suddenly became angry and wanted to run out and fight with the bastard.

"Calm down!"

Seeing this, Brian quickly raised his hand, pressed Wilfred's shoulders, and said, "If you run out now, you'll become that guy's target. If something happens to you, who will rescue Anna then?"

Then he looked at Sylvia who was lying in the van. Sweat kept falling from his forehead. If I had known that it would be like this, I should have done everything I could to stop this action.

After hearing Brian's words, Wilfred suppressed the anger in his heart, but it was clear from his fierce eyes how angry he was.

"Haha! Then you should come!"

Ignoring Wilfred's threatening words, Ogden felt happier than ever at this moment. He originally thought that Anna had died at the hands of the infected or those hunters, and he still felt a little regretful, but then the other party would really surrender to his own door. That was simply a stroke of luck.

He had not participated in the sneak attack on the survivors at the checkpoint at the time, but was hiding in a dark corner, hoping to deliver a fatal blow at the critical moment.

Ogden had a clear view of what happened just now. He could originally help the bald man kill these alien survivors, but when he saw who the visitor was, he immediately shifted his attention and planned to reap the benefits.

It's a pity that he didn't kill Wilfred with the sneak attack just now, otherwise, he thought he could easily solve it with just the remaining children and women.

Then Ogden looked at the bald man lying on the ground, with a sarcastic smile on his lips, and secretly scolded the other person as a waste. He usually talked about how powerful he was, but he couldn't kill anyone.

Approaching the girl who was captured by him, smelling the scent emanating from Anna, he couldn't help but lick her tender face.

Anna noticed the other party's movements and felt sick to her heart. He quickly turned his head and twisted his body desperately, trying to break free.

Feeling the resistance of Anna's body, Ogden's smile gradually became abnormal, and he whispered in the girl's ear, "Behave well, don't move. When we get out of here, I'll have fun with you!"

He then raised the rifle in his hand, pointed it at Anna's back, and asked the other party to follow him. At the same time, he shouted in front, "Wilfred, if you don't want your daughter to die, you'd better stay there and not go out. Otherwise, I wouldn't dare to guarantee their safety."

"Damn!"

Seeing Anna and Ogden begin to move, Wilfred suddenly became anxious. He knew his daughter's temperament better than anyone. If she saw that there was no hope of being rescued, she would rather die with the other party than allow herself to be insulted.

He clenched the pistol in his hand, remembering his wife's instructions before she died, and determination flashed deep in his eyes. Even if he risked his own life, he had to ensure his daughter's safety.

But as Ogden slowly pushed Anna back, a short figure appeared beside them with thin arms, raised the pistol tremblingly, and shouted in a childish voice, "Raise your hands! Bad!"

The sudden sound left everyone stunned. Brian looked over there and discovered that the person was actually Allan.

Ogden's body froze in place for an instant, and the expression on his face suddenly froze. He didn't expect there to be anyone by his side.

But when he heard the childish voice, he turned his head and saw that the other person was actually just a child of about ten years old, he seemed unable to hold the gun firmly, and his expression gradually became fierce again.

"Kid, you're just looking for death!" Ogden moved straight to raise his pistol, pointed the barrel at Allan next to him, and fired several shots.

He didn't care at all about the boy's threatening words in front of him. He didn't even say if the other person would shoot him. He simply relied on his trembling hands. If I could shoot him, I would.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

When Allan saw this, he was so frightened that he ducked and hid behind the abandoned car to avoid the bullets. He didn't expect that the other party wouldn't care about the gun in his hand and shoot him directly.

Originally, when he saw the situation here, he wanted to go down and help, but he didn't say that he had never fired a gun. Even if Sister Anna was still with the other party, she was afraid of being accidentally injured.

Originally, Allan wanted to use the gun in his hand to intimidate the opponent like in the movie, so that the other party would raise their hand and surrender. Who would have thought that the guy in front of him wouldn't follow the routine?

Seeing this, Wilfred seemed to be stimulated and suddenly ran out of hiding and ran towards Ogden's position.

Ogden, who was firing at Allan's position, suddenly heard quick footsteps in front of him. He turned his head and saw Wilfred running towards him, apparently coming to save Anna.

A sneer appeared in the corner of his mouth and he no longer paid attention to the boy next to him. He moved and hid behind Anna, reloaded the magazine of the pistol and continued shooting Wilfred.

Ogden was a little worried that Wilfred was still alive. He knew that if he took his daughter with him, he would chase her to the ends of the earth, he was really worried.

But now the other party ran out and became a target, which was just what he wanted, so he pulled the trigger without saying a word.

Unfortunately, either because Anna in front of him blocked his view or because he was too agile, all of these bullets hit the snow and none hit.

Just as Ogden was still shooting forward and focused all his attention on Wilfred, Anna in front of him suddenly threw her head back and hit him hard in the face with the back of her head.

"Shit!"

Ogden's vision suddenly darkened, and then he felt a sharp pain in his nose, causing him to unconsciously let go of Anna's hand and hold his nose.

"Well..." Anna felt the hand holding her being released, nodded to Wilfred in front, and then quickly crouched down.

Wilfred, who was running forward, raised his pistol the moment Anna slammed it backwards. After seeing his daughter's movements, he didn't hesitate to pull the trigger, and the bullet was fired at extremely fast speeds.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

After Ogden was attacked, he also understood that his situation had become dangerous, and he subconsciously wanted to dodge it, but his mind thought the same, but the reaction power of his body couldn't help him do what he wanted right away.

Hearing just a few pops, countless blood holes instantly appeared in his body. Scarlet blood gushed out of the holes and flowed out uncontrollably.

The pistol fell weakly to the ground. Ogden looked on in disbelief, and slowly raised his hand to touch the wound on his body, as if to stop the blood.

But in the end, before he could touch his wound, his strength seemed to have been exhausted, and he knelt weakly on the ground, then fluttered and fell into the snow, lifeless.

The scene suddenly fell silent, whether it was Wilfred who was in the middle of the ramp or Brian and Allan who were nearby, they all let out a long sigh of relief and sat down on the floor.

"It's finally over..." Such an idea couldn't help but pop up in the minds of several people present.

"Sarah, you..." Brian tilted his head and subconsciously wanted to talk to Sarah, but as soon as the words came out, he found that the person next to him disappeared.

He turned around and saw that Sarah had reached the van at some point. He patted his head and remembered that Sylvia had been shot. He quickly got up and ran in that direction.

But after running a few steps, Brian's footsteps became slower and slower, and the expression on his face became heavier and heavier.

Inside the truck, Sarah was holding Sylvia and sobbing softly. At that moment, Sylvia was lying weakly in Sarah's arms. Blood was constantly flowing from his body and dripping down the truck on the snow.

Brian looked at the scarlet spot on Sylvia's abdomen and suddenly his heart felt uncomfortable. Such an injury might have been curable before the end of the world, but now... it's useless...
