Chapter 5 - Chapter 2 Tiandu

"A chu", Ying Lei called his little bird as he sat down in his study room.

This was the first time he really noticed how empty his room was. Kunlun was always a dull place.

Even though it was a scary place there wasn't any color. So he used always run away because he didn't want to stay in this kind of Place.

His grandfather had a hard time finding him back. Back then he even had a student who was older than him but also caused him headaches.

He never saw his face but he remembered how his grandfather used to complain that both of us would send him one day to his grave.

But he hated this place and pleaded to go down. One day when he woke he saw through his window his grandpa standing and planting something.

Later he found out that his grandpa went down the Mountain to look for a tree, so he would be able to see every morning the colors of the mortal world.

And yet his room was dull as the Mountain. There was no painting, nor scrolls nothing which seemed to be fun.

"Yes Master!", answered a chippy voice as a young boy entered the room.

His hair was tied up in a bun as he was carrying a Try in his hands.

"I brought you, your breakfast."

"A Chu, say does my grandpa pass away because got ill?"

"Yes." reapplied the little Spirit as he put down the dishes on the table.

"Back then everyone was devastated when we heard the news. He was a great God who cared about the Wilderness and the Spirit world. Our world isn't Vast like the mortal World or diverse like the Wilderness, so we get easily forgotten. But he didn't he doesn't want us to be bound by the spell of the Gods. He wanted us to be free. He was indeed an upright Demon and a God. His loss was unbearable. But that is our way, even though we are immortals we still can't escape our end."

"He was indeed different" agreed Ying Lei as looked down on the dishes.

It was simple like every day. But how could it be different, your cook was a Spirit. After becoming Lord he was banished from the Kitchen one of the things he hated being a God.

"But you shouldn't worry Master. Thank to you we were finally set free from our fate!"

- Is that the reason why you decided to stay in my Kitchen-, thought Ying Lei and raised his eyebrow.

"Is it?" he asked and looked at his small servant. His bright smile and his shiny eyes, it was the same. It was the same face when Bai Jiu finally looked at him for the first time.

Since when does his eyes become cold? As his soul was already lost in the nothingness.

His smile became dim and his laugh empty.

His hair lost its brightness and turned white like the snow.

His face became pale and yet he tried to cover it. A Healer's robe should be always white but he wasn't.

And his small box on his back turned into an umbrella

All that was left of him was his scent. The scent of herbs.

>>"I like his scent because it clams me down"<<<

"Who?" . Ying Lei looked up. Whose voice was it?

"Master?"

"Didn't you hear the Voice right now?" he asked.

"No, Master. I didn't hear anything." said A Chu.

"Ah…. Ok…. It must be the Wind then. Can you bring me records of the year when I was ill?"

"Yes, Master!" nodded A Chu and went away.

- A sick person? Who was it? Lord Zhou? How severe must his sickness be if wanted to make a deal?

A Deal right? My memories of his life. So was he more important than me? He must be someone from the bureau. "I know it", Lei cursed

The year, when he fell, was the time he lost all of the memories expected of Bai Jiu. Back then it was the only memories which was the ray of light in his dark world. He couldn't even remember losing his grandfather except for the pain he felt. Everything was different, it was like he went to sleep just to wake up in a different world. But how…. how does Jiu know that he was looking for it?

"Master!" A Chu's voice cut his thoughts. "Here are the records as you wanted."

The small Teahouse looked different as it had a makeover overnight or should call it black magic?

No wonder that it took him hours to find it. But wasn't that one of the charms of the Wilderness?

There were her words. Pei Jie jie ( older sister) even if she hated the Demons and the Wilderness,

she still used to say that the Wilderness had more colors than the human world.

And that demons would misunderstand how much of black and white the human life was.

Back then he wasn't able to see it even that part which he mentioned. And perhaps he wouldn't

even found this place if he hadn't decided to read the book. The book he left him behind so he wouldn't be sad. So he could go in time whenever he wanted.

"Are you expecting anyone Sir?" the waiter's voice cut his thoughts just to realize that he just standing around.

"We need a table for two!" a voice answered behind him.

As he looked behind he saw Ying Lei, his bright smile and they he walked. Indeed his heart didn't change a bit.
