**Chapter 1: A New Beginning**
Vijay's final thoughts clung to a single, aching regret as darkness enclosed him. After a life dedicated to his studies, his career, and his beloved Priya, he had barely tasted the life he'd dreamed of. He'd worked so hard, only to have it snatched away on a day like any other, but his one act of heroism in saving a stranger had cost him his life. As the last of his strength faded, he'd wished—just one last wish—to be the man Priya believed he could be, to see her one more time, and maybe, just maybe, to witness the next adventure in his favorite series, Dragon Ball.
When he opened his eyes again, he was surrounded by warmth and light, and a strangely familiar voice laughed above him. An orange-clad man held him high in the air, grinning as though Vijay's arrival were the greatest event in the world. Except…he was no longer Vijay.
Vijay—now Zohan—felt a strange clarity. Memories flooded back: he was Son Zohan, Gohan's twin brother. His mind buzzed, and suddenly, a soft, echoing voice reverberated within.
> "Welcome, Zohan. System initialization in progress."
It wasn't just reincarnation; it seemed he'd been granted a *system*, much like Rimuru's, though not as powerful yet. As he grew, the system would evolve with him, offering connections to others if he so wished, capable of amplifying their strength.
The days passed, and Zohan adjusted to his new life, piecing together fragments of his past with his present. Watching his family, he observed Goku's lighthearted nature and Chi-Chi's fierce love. Gohan, his new twin, was timid yet filled with potential. Though they were only toddlers, Zohan felt a responsibility for his brother, a need to protect him. Priya's memory filled his heart, giving him strength to train, learn, and become the man he had aspired to be.
One afternoon, while Goku was off training and Chi-Chi was inside, Zohan and Gohan wandered too close to the edge of the woods. That's when a massive dinosaur emerged from the trees, its hungry eyes fixed on the two children. Zohan's instincts screamed at him to act, but his tiny body and undeveloped powers left him feeling helpless.
Suddenly, the system flared to life.
> "Emergency detected. Activating Basic Combat Mode."
Energy surged within him. His hands heated with a strange, unfamiliar power as he threw them forward, releasing a burst of golden ki that struck the dinosaur, sending it reeling backward. Exhausted, Zohan fell to the ground, but Gohan, inspired by his brother, raised his own tiny hands, a small spark of ki firing from his fingertips, hitting the dinosaur again.
The dinosaur staggered back, defeated, its massive body tumbling to the ground as both brothers slumped against each other in exhaustion, their tiny bodies spent. As they drifted off to sleep beside the warm, freshly cooked dinosaur meat, a distant voice called out in alarm.
Goku, Chi-Chi, and the Ox-King arrived moments later, eyes wide with shock. Chi-Chi gasped, horrified and furious. "Goku! How could you let them wander off?! They could've been eaten!"
Goku scratched his head, clearly guilty. "Aw, Chi-Chi, I didn't think they'd wander this far! But...how did they manage to take down that dinosaur?"
Chi-Chi, still flustered, scooped both her sons into her arms, giving Goku an exasperated look. "Honestly, Goku! They're only two and a half years old! And you've already got them battling monsters?!"
The Ox-King laughed, his deep voice rumbling as he inspected the dinosaur. "Well, it looks like they did more than battle it, Chi-Chi! We've got dinner!"
Goku picked up the dinosaur meat and grinned sheepishly, deciding not to argue. Back at home, the family set the twins in front of a feast of dinosaur meat. The boys woke, groggy but hungry, digging into the food as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
Goku watched them with a mix of pride and awe. "I think our boys have a lot of potential, Chi-Chi," he whispered, grinning as Zohan gave him a sleepy thumbs-up, still clutching a piece of meat.
Chi-Chi rolled her eyes but smiled, watching her sons with a mixture of pride and concern. "I just hope they don't take after you *too* much, Goku. One Goku is more than enough!"
The Ox-King chuckled, lifting his bowl. "With two little warriors like these, I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot more action around here!"
As Zohan drifted off to sleep later, his system chimed softly.
> "Energy reserves depleted. System is now in Rest Mode. Welcome, Zohan, to your new journey."
He smiled, knowing that in this new life, he had a family to protect and an endless adventure ahead of him.
