Chapter 1 - C1: A New Beginning

The sound of rustling leaves and distant bird calls greeted Arashi as he woke up. His head throbbed, and as he opened his eyes, he was met with the sight of a clear blue sky, framed by the tall, swaying trees of a forest. Groggily sitting up, he looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings. The last thing he remembered was the screech of tyres and the blinding flash of headlights before everything went dark.

"Where am I?" he muttered, standing up and brushing the dirt off his clothes. His sore muscles took quite an effort to allow him to move. To his surprise, his body felt different – smaller, more frail. It was then that he noticed his attire: a simple tunic and pants, distinctly different from the clothes he was wearing before the crash.

'But how is this possible? I should be dead? Was I reborn in another world? But where?' Arashi pinched himself, wincing, realising that everything was real and he wasn't just dreaming. He scanned his surroundings once more, this time seeing the blood stains on the grass around where his body laid before he had risen. He reached down and touched the blood, noting that the blood had dried, implying that it had been there for some time.

'Was the owner of this body killed and I entered it?' Just as Arashi was getting acclimated to his senses, suddenly, a blue flash of light appeared in front of his eyes accompanied with a throbbing headache, causing his consciousness to get knocked out.

[Welcome Host! You have been transmigrated into the world of Naruto.]

A blue panel popped up in front of his eyes, as he got up again shaking the pain away from his head.

'The world of Naruto?! Hahaha! I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I just died, just to be thrown into another world where death could grab me at any moment. At least I have this system to help me.' Arashi pondered. It took him a few minutes to digest all the new information regarding the system as well as his new identity's memories.

The sound of rustling leaves behind him made Arashi tense up, instinctively getting his guard up as he spun around.

"Arashi, there you are! I've been looking all over for you, young man! And what's with all this blood?" A gentle, feminine voice scolded him as a beautiful female ninja flickered to his side, her presence both comforting and stern. She began dusting the dirt off his clothes, her hands quick and practised.

She had pure black hair tied up in a ponytail and a slim, agile figure. Her attire was the standard Chunin Konoha shinobi uniform, signifying her rank and allegiance. Her dark eyes, full of concern, scanned Arashi for injuries.

"You're always getting yourself into trouble," she sighed, her voice softening as she examined a small cut on his arm. "We need to get you cleaned up and back to the village. What were you thinking, wandering off like this?"

Arashi couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and gratitude. "I'm sorry, Akira. I just… wanted to play in the forest with my friends, it's near our home too."

Akira shook her head, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "Just be more careful next time. Let's go. Big Sis will carry you back." She turned, leading the way back towards the village, her presence a reassuring beacon in the dense forest.

Arashi smiled, knowing at least he wasn't alone in this hell world. He had an older sister, who supported him. Arashi and his sister had both lost their parents at a young age during the rampage of Kurama on Konoha. Although Akira was just a Chunin, aged 15, she chose to go on simpler missions and continued to support Arashi through the hardships.

'I was an orphan in my previous world, but in this world I have you. I know how harsh this world is and I won't let anyone oppress me. I might have been a high ranking Mafia leader but this is my world now, and my new life. I shall see what this world has to offer…' A cold glint flashed Arashi's eyes, as he followed, running behind his sister.

As the brother-sister duo reached their small and humble abode, located on the outskirts of Konoha, Arashi realised that they were actually borderline poor. Their house was old and quite small, but he was grateful.

His sister, although a chunin, specialised as a sensory ninja. These ninjas were few but lacked in their combat capabilities, disallowing her from taking on the high-paying missions which would require combat.

Arashi hadn't realised it but the memories of the Arashi before he had taken over, were affecting his emotions ever so slightly. A cold, heartless man such as him was actually feeling warmth towards someone? Arashi pushed the thoughts to the back of his head, as he entered the house with his sister.

'Tomorrow I shall make my plans. Don't worry sis, I shall take you under my wing. Hahaha!'
