She felt something trickling on her face, she touched it and noticed it was tears.
Why am I crying?
"What are you doing in here?"
Isabelle quickly wiped her tears away, turning to see Catherine standing in the doorway, her arms crossed tightly over her chest.
Isabelle took a deep breath, steadying herself. "I got lost," she replied.
"Lost? Don't give me that crap."
Catherine's eyes narrowed, irritation flashing across her face. "Cut the nonsense. Why are you snooping around here?"
"I told you. I got lost. This room looks like it hasn't been used in a while."
"No one owns this room."
"Really?"
"Get out, Isabelle."
"You sure you want me to? Your mother seems to have big plans sucking money out of me."
Catherine's lips twitched, followed by a scoff. "I knew you wouldn't buy that. Still don't get why you're hanging around."
