Isabelle's POV
As she approached, her gaze shifted to Logan, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Logan," she said in a warm, cultured voice, her tone both affectionate and commanding.
"Mother," Logan replied, his voice steady but it felt tense.
I blinked, my brain trying to take in what I was seeing. His mother? This stunning, almost ethereal woman was his mother?
Logan turned to me, his expression carefully neutral. "Isabelle, this is my mother, Evelyn. Mother, this is Isabelle."
Evelyn looked at me, a small smile on her face, but it didn't reach her eyes.
I brought out my hand for a handshake but she ignored it as she turned back to Logan.
"I heard about what happened in the park. What is wrong with you security system.?" She said sharply.
