As they lived quietly they didn't know that someone watched them in the dark looking for a chance to take Lyra away.
One morning Lyra woke up hearing a russeling noise fron the forest. Then she ran out and saw the beast that wants to kidnap her. He jumped towards her and said, "So you're the little girl I'm after. You don't look harmful. They told me to be careful but you are so small and weak this will be easy." She glared at him.
He charged at her and just before he could touch her she jumped, spinned and landed gracefully smirking at the man, "Guess you'll have to work harder. I may look like an easy target but I'll crush you before you even come close enough to touch me." She jumped into the tree glaring at him.
"Try catching me if you can. Because it will not be easy." She sat in the tree the man glaring at her. He chased her as she doged with inches before he could toutch her. Then out off no where more rouges appeared. They circled around her. She didn't look panic but was greaking out inside. They wanna play dirty. But why do rouges want me? I'm nothing special.
They all tried to grab her, but everyone fail except one. The one rouge, a girl about Lyra's age, was able to leave a scratch on her arm. The blood dripped as she groaned in pain. She then yelled, "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH ME?!" They all looked at her as she yelled. No one answered her. Sje stood against the tree bark and manage to jump. Then she said, "You will not be able to catch me no matter how hard you try."
The one man from before grabbed her by her throat and lift her up, "Don't you see you are weak. We cal kill you but our leader unfortunately wants you alive. Tie her up." He said as her thrww her aside.
Before the others could come near her she said, "Bring the rouges utmost pain." With that everyone exept the girl who hurted Lyra fell and yelped in pain. Lyra grinned at them then saw the girl, "You are no rouge? Why side with them then? They only hurt us." The girl then said, "My own mother has died of a sickness and my sister is sick. I need the money so i agreed to help them." Lyra glared at her. Lyra jumped in the tree then said, "What's your name?" The girl hesitated, then said, "Lina." She met Lyra's eyes.
Lyra jumped out off the tree then said, "So Lina, if you work for me I can give you a better live then these rouges could ever do. So if you want to have a better live for your sister and yourself, then I suggest you follow me." Lyra turn around but just before she could walk she lost consciousness.
