Asher moved further into the hall, the tension from earlier still palpable in the air. While most eyes followed him with respect or curiosity, a few still bore skepticism. He could feel their judgment but chose to let it wash over him. Tonight wasn't about convincing everyone—it was about taking the first step toward commanding the room, even if he didn't fully understand his place yet.

Before he could find a quiet corner to gather his thoughts, another figure stepped into his path—a tall vampire with sharp features and a cloak embroidered with intricate silver patterns. His aura wasn't hostile, but it radiated the confidence of someone accustomed to authority.

"Court Consort," the vampire greeted, inclining his head slightly. "I am Lord Emil, a long-standing advisor to the Judge. I saw what transpired with Kael." His tone was measured, neither warm nor cold. "I must admit, your response was…unexpected."
