In the dim light of a forest clearing, sunlight filtered through the canopy, meeting a faint mist that clung to the air. A group of men had gathered, forming a semicircle on the grass, all eyes fixed on Osman standing at the center. The young Sultan stood tall, surrounded by his loyal statesmen, discussing the dawn of a new era. At the heart of the assembly, artisan Rüştü Usta held the gleaming innovation of the age: the flintlock rifle.

Rüştü Usta bowed respectfully and began to speak:

"My Sultan, as you requested, we have commenced mass production of flintlock rifles. The older matchlock guns are now being exported, particularly to Protestant principalities and Turkmen tribes. These sales have brought significant revenue to the state."

Osman's resolute gaze swept across the gathering. His voice was calm yet authoritative as he addressed them:

"This is not merely a weapon; it is the symbol of an era coming to an end. Wars will no longer be dominated by swords and bows but by the power of firearms. The world is changing, and we will lead that change."

A murmur rippled through the crowd. Some of the senior officials appeared unconvinced, their furrowed brows betraying their concerns. One of them spoke up:

"Yet, my Sultan, matchlock guns have their flaws—particularly in wet weather. The ignition mechanism often fails, leaving our soldiers vulnerable in critical moments."

A gentle smile spread across Osman's face. He gestured toward the flintlock rifle in Rüştü Usta's hands and responded:

"That is precisely why we have developed this new weapon. The flintlock rifle addresses these shortcomings. It fires quickly, functions reliably in all weather conditions, and is far more durable. Allow me to demonstrate."

Osman took the rifle in his hands. Rüştü Usta pointed to a pre-arranged target: a small target board hung on the trunk of a tree 50 meters away. Osman took a steady stance, carefully aimed, and pulled the trigger. The crack of the shot rang through the forest, scattering startled birds from the treetops. When the smoke cleared, the bullet was embedded squarely in the center of the target.

The gathered officials erupted into applause, their admiration evident:

"My Sultan, that was a perfect shot! Your vision and determination in bringing this technology to us are truly remarkable."

Osman responded with humble words, his tone measured and sincere:

"Your praise flatters me, but this achievement is not mine alone. It is the result of the dedication of our artisans and scholars. Together, we have reached this milestone, and together, we will achieve even greater things."

Osman's words instilled confidence and determination among the crowd. The serene forest now bore witness to the triumph of innovation and the promise of a new age.
