The very next day, loud sounds disturbed the silent and peaceful morning which woke poor Marc from his sleep. 'What was that? That sounded a lot like a bang'. He quickly changed into his formal school attire and went to investigate the source of the noise. After going down the long and confusing hallways of the school, he went down to the grounds and was surprised by the sight that had appeared before his eyes. Many staff members and teachers were bustling around the field like ants. Marc stood there, confused, scratching his head. He watched as materials and other things were brought by the staff everywhere on the field. As soon as he and many other students were about to leave the scene, a voice called them. "Can everyone please come to the field?", Mr.Omore called out, his voice out strengthening the commotion of the students. Marc then went onto the field, but he felt uneasy. He felt something was wrong. He felt like it was hollow. Keeping his feelings to himself not wanting to make a false alarm, he went to the front along with the other students." Best of luck to you all. " Everybody was confused with what Mr. Omore had said, and so was Marc. *Creak creak creak* gears turning can be heard from underneath the field. Marc and the others looked beneath their feet and were instructed not to look above. Marc was confused again with this strange order but had no time to think about it when the field beneath him suddenly opened and they all fell from a great height. "AAAA..!"Everybody cried.
Marc was silently praying to his unknown saviour (but he didn't have one) that he would be alright even though he had already fallen about 50 feet. His first day at Besborn Academy and already plunging to his death with the other students. Everyone was in a panic. They were screaming their lungs out of fear. Human bodies are unique, they react to life and death situations by producing a large amount of adrenaline that will initiate a fight or flight response. As it was a life and danger situation(It's more the danger), their bodies quickly responded to the situation. One by one, the student's bodies are using their respective elements to break the fall. They were landing softly, but Marc couldn't execute it. He braces for impact as he watches the ground getting closer. He closes his eyes and everything goes black. He heard silence. After some time, he opens his eyes. Marc was blinded by the light coming from above. He thought he was in heaven. Until his bracelet vibrates and a ping sound reminds him that he is still alive. He looked around where he fell, it was a crater! He felt warm underneath his feet, so he quickly left the crater. He then went to where the other students were.
A hologram emerged from the bracelet, projecting Mr. Omore's face. "Fantastic, you all survived. Now, this is where your first test begins," Mr. Omore announced, his voice echoing through the walls of the hole. "You'll be in groups of four to navigate this maze. Good luck." As Mr. Omore's image faded, the bracelet on Marc's wrist lit up in a specific color. Around him, students scrambled to find their groups, guided by the vibrations of their bracelets. The closer they got to their team, the stronger the vibrations became. Marc's bracelet began to vibrate violently as he spotted three people wearing bracelets of the same color. He jogged toward them, his breath heavy from the run. "Hey, I think I'm your last teammate," he said, trying to catch his breath. "By the way, my name's Marc." The group turned to him, relief flashing across their faces. "Finally! I thought I'd be the only guy here," said a boy with a smirk. "I'm Nicky, by the way." "Bell," said the tall girl with a curt nod, her voice calm and steady. The last teammate hesitated, looking a little nervous. She glanced at Marc before finally speaking in a soft, trembling voice. "H-hi... my name's L-Lily." Before anyone could say more, the ground beneath them began to rumble. Everyone froze as a large door rose from the ground, revealing the entrance to the maze. For a moment, no one moved, their gazes fixed on the dark and foreboding entrance. Finally, Nicky broke the silence. "Well, no point in standing here. Let's go!" With a shared nod, the group sprinted toward the maze entrance, their bracelets still glowing faintly in unison.
As they went in, they heard the sounds of the other students catching up with them. They didn't want to get fallen behind, and began navigating the maze. "Let's split up, we will find it faster. I'm gonna be with Bell so bye you two and behave." Nicky said while we were sprinting towards an intersection. Marc then split up with Lily to the other side while Bell and Nicky went the opposite. But Marc felt something suspicious, he felt it was too peaceful. And he was right, a giant piece of wood then swings to the pair with high speeds. Marc notices that Lily doesn't know the danger that was coming, he then tackled her to get her to safety(Like a real Gentlemen would do). "What was that fo-" Startled Lily was cut off when the big piece of wood smashed and slammed Marc into the wall. MArc then spitted out blood upon the impact. "Are you okay?" Lily asked with a worried face. Marc then gets up like he doesn't feel any pain, "I'm okay, just watch out for more tra-" As Marc was about to finish his sentence, a giant piece of wood began to swing to them. Marc then quickly reacts by summoning a wall of magma from the ground. *BOOM* The sounds of the wood crashing into the wall. They barely dodge it. Right when Marc was getting flashbacks, Lily pulled his arm to go forward. With this new knowledge, they began to navigate the maze more carefully. After some time, they reached a long corridor.
The pair could hear the other students' footsteps but it's faint. Then they heard a similar voice coming their way, "MARC, LILY, are you there?" a voice said. Marc and Lily get ready for what comes their way, but it was only Bell and Nicky. "Marc! Lily!I'm glad that you guys are okay. " Bell said excitedly as she and Nicky ran to them. However, a sign appeared saying "Press Shift to Run" that caught their attention. " I hope we don't get chased by something" Marc said sarcastically(Foreshadowing). "Hey, don't jinx it" Lily said. After she finishes, the ground rumbles and a door opens up. Confused, the four walk up to the door. Loud sounds can be heard from above. Then, a giant rock ball came crashing down from above. Panicked, the four of them sprinted to the opposite side of the corridor. "WHY DID YOU SAY IT MARC" Nicky said angrily while sprinting down the corridor. "Sorry," Marc said. Then they reached a dead end. "WE'RE GOING TO DIE" Nicky said terrified. Then Marc notices a puzzle. "Look, That's the key" he said excitedly, "Solve it, I'll buy you guys sometime". Marc then proceeded to walk into the path of the boulder. He then summons a wall of magma to hold the boulder. Some time has passed and the puzzle is nowhere close to being finished. The wall slowly cracks as the weight of the boulder is too much to handle for a long time. "Hurry up, I can't hold it any longer" Marc said exhaustedly. A click sound then came from the door. Light came from the other side showing their freedom. Marc saw Nicky, Lily, and Bell going out into the light. As he was about to leave, *BOOM*, an explosion can be heard from above. The maze started to crumble under its weight. Debris is falling everywhere with dust blocking Marc's sight. Chaos unfolds with the sound of screaming and crying, also with the sound of Lily, Nicky, and Bell's worried voice. The exit was close, but it was only a matter of time before the maze collapse on him. As he was about to take the final steps, he got hit. Everything went blurry. He only saw a blurred Lily, Nicky, and Bell standing outside waiting for him. However something catches his eyes, he saw a person escaping the scene while wearing a black coat but before he could think about it, everything went dark.
