Chapter 23 - The Ravens Wing

Solomon stormed through Avalon's halls, Nahar cradled in his arms. "Get the healers! Now!" he bellowed.

Guards scrambled to obey, racing to summon the kingdom's finest healers.

Henry followed closely, concern etched on his face. "Solomon, calm down."

But Solomon's anger and worry wouldn't subside.

In the guest chamber, Solomon gently laid Nahar on the bed.

"Where are the healers?" he thundered, pacing the room.

Henry placed a reassuring hand on his brother's shoulder. "They'll come, Solomon."

The healers arrived, their skilled hands moving swiftly to treat Nahar's wounds.

Solomon's patience frayed. "How long will this take?"

His voice cracked with emotion.

Henry's calm tone soothed him. "Patience, brother, patience."

The healers worked tirelessly, their faces focused.

Finally, the lead healer spoke, "I've done all I can, my lord. She'll heal gradually."

Solomon's gaze locked onto Nahar's peaceful face. "And her leg?"

"Healed, my lord," the healer replied. "Bruises remain, but she'll recover."

Solomon waved his hand, gesturing for them to leave.

The healer departed, leaving Solomon and Henry to watch over Nahar.

Meanwhile, General Thorn, Avalon's trusted military leader, received a cryptic message:

"Meet me at the old windmill on the outskirts. Come alone."

General Thorn's eyes widened as he read the signed message: General Nikos.

At midnight, Thorn arrived at the old windmill, the moon casting eerie shadows.

A figure emerged from the darkness - General Nikos, Persia's formidable commander.

Their eyes locked, the air thick with tension.

Their conversation began, low and guarded.

The night hid their words, but the weight of their discussion hung heavy.

As they parted ways, General Nikos smiled, his eyes locking onto General Thorn's.

"Phase one is underway," Nikos said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Thorn nodded, his expression a mask of loyalty.

But beneath the surface, treachery brewed.

Their meeting was no coincidence.

Thorn had been secretly working with Nikos for months.

Avalon's trusted general had become Persia's hidden asset.

"The Raven's Wing" was already unfolding.

Thorn's role in the betrayal had begun long ago.

He had manipulated Avalon's defenses, weakening its strongest points.

Nikos's plan relied on Thorn's insider knowledge.

Together, they would bring Avalon to its knees.

As Thorn returned to Avalon, his thoughts turned to the next phase.

The kingdom's downfall was imminent.

Solomon and Henry remained oblivious to the danger lurking within.

Their trust in Thorn would be their downfall.

The night swallowed Nikos's figure, but his presence lingered.

Avalon's destruction was now a matter of time.
