Chapter 12 - Avalon's Victory

Rain poured down, soaking. The battle-scarred earth. Solomon's landing shook the ground.

His eyes blazed with fury.

His voice thundered: "YOU SHOULD'VE STAYED HIDDEN."

The battlefield trembled.

Avalon's fate hung in the balance.

Solomon's arrival would change everything.

With a fierce battle cry, "Marcellus'!" Solomon charged into the fray.

Marcellus knew his death loomed near.

"Retreat! Retreat!" he shouted.

Secretly, he ordered two elite soldiers to kidnap the woman watching from the castle's top.

Marcellus had noticed a beauty watching from atop the castle during his exchange with Henry.

The two soldiers, masters of spatial manipulation, could shift locations at will.

Unbeknownst to them, Solomon and Henry overheard Marcellus's command.

Without hesitation, the Flame Gods' reincarnations diverted their attention to Ariel.

General Thorn took charge of the battle.

Marcellus, turning back to retreat. He spotted soldiers from Tharros approaching at full speed, ready for battle.

"I'm finished" he spoke before screaming "you said you'd help me, where are you."

Solomon and Henry rushed toward the palace.

The two soldiers, Ryker and Nahar, focused on their mission.

They concentrated, and their bodies began to dissolve into shimmering mist.

In an instant, they reformed in Ariel's chamber.

The room's tranquility contrasted with the chaos below.

Ariel, lost in thought, stood at her window.

Ryker and Nahar moved swiftly.

The wind howled outside.

Ariel's chamber door creaked.

She turned around.

"Who's there?" She called out.

Silence.

Only the darkness replied.

Ariel's scream pierced the air as a hand grasped her.

Henry and Solomon, still outside, heard her cry.

In a flash, Henry materialized behind Ariel.

Solomon appeared behind Nahar, blood and sweat dripping down his whole body, Nahar could hear the sound of the blood and sweat dropping on the floor.

The two kings' presence neutralized Marcellus's soldiers' powers.

Henry's anger flared noticing Ryker's grip on Ariel's shoulder, He severed Ryker's hands.

Ryker's agonized scream filled the room.

He crumpled to the ground.

Nahar froze in place, knowing fully well there's nothing she can do at this point.

Solomon's intense aura paralyzed her.

She knew one wrong move meant death.

Henry seethed.

"How dare you place your filthy hands on my wife?"

His flames blazed hotter, setting Ryker ablaze.

Ryker's burning body fueled Henry's rage, he turned his gaze towards Nahar, anger swelling in his face.

Solomon intervened after noticing a strange but familiar aura coming from Nahar.

"Take off your mask," he ordered Nahar.

A glimmer of fear flickered in Nahar's eyes.

Solomon sensed something, a woman's aura, an aura he had known since he started having that dream, not a soldier's aura. Intrigue sparked within him.

Henry's fury paused.

Awaiting Nahar's response.

Nahar's slender fingers grasped the edges of her mask, hesitating for a fleeting moment before slowly lifting it off.

As the mask fell away, a cascade of luscious, dark hair tumbled down her back, releasing a sweet, intoxicating scent that filled the air.

Ariel's chamber, once filled with tension, now held its breath in awe.

Nahar's face, revealed in all its glory, stunned Solomon.

Her features were etched with elegance, her eyes pools of shimmering silk.

Her aura transformed, radiating smooth, soothing tranquility.

Solomon's gaze locked onto hers, his mind reeling.

This was the woman from his dreams.

The one he had longed to find.

Henry's eyes widened in alarm.

"Bro, what the fuu..." he trailed off, incredulous.

Henry knew his brother was on the brink of making a catastrophic mistake.

Solomon had fallen under the enemy's spell.

Nahar's beauty had disarmed him.

Henry's concern deepened.

How could Solomon be so blind?

This was Marcellus's soldier, sent to kidnap Ariel yet Solomon's captivated expression betrayed his better judgment.

Ariel watched, worried.

Solomon's usual resolve had crumbled.

Nahar's presence had unmanned him.

The room hung in suspense.

Would Solomon regain his senses?

Or succumb to his heart's treacherous desires?
