Ava's stomach flipped. She knew this was inevitable; she couldn't take a proper bath without removing it, but hearing him say this out loud gave her a different kind of scare, the one that sent heat pooling between her folds.
Ava fidgeted against her thigh, and tried to avoid his gaze. "I... I can do this much myself," she protested. She was losing control of her body with all these demands. She didn't know how long she could keep this up without giving into her desires.
"With one hand?" Maximus loosened his grip on her hands. "I'd love to let you try like earlier, but I don't think we need another accident today, little one. You keep forgetting you're not fully healed."
Ava opened her mouth to protest again, but shut it when she realized he wasn't wrong. Her heart pounded so loudly in her chest that she was sure he definitely heard as she gave a reluctant nod.
