In the dark stairwell, sudden bursts of gunfire echoed.
The M4A1 automatic rifle fired all its bullets in a few seconds.
The four mafia gang members had no time to react and were reduced to pieces. Shredded limbs and bright red blood splattered throughout the narrow stairwell, filling the air with the sickening stench of death.

For Jason, a gangster who sees blood every day, this level of violence was just a warm-up.
Reloading a fresh magazine, he moved swiftly, searching the bodies for weapons. Moments later, he headed toward the third floor, now equipped with two fragmentation grenades.
The quiet hum of an elevator broke the silence.
Jason quickly noticed the elevator screen showing it descending from the fifth floor to the first, then starting to rise again. He sneered, pulled the pin from one of the grenades, and prepared to act.
As the elevator doors opened a crack, he lobbed in both grenades. Explosions erupted almost instantly, leaving the occupants no chance to escape.

Just as Jason was about to check the elevator for gear, two more men burst from the emergency exit.
"Jason's there! Shoot him!" Anatoly shouted.
The mafia member beside him immediately raised his rifle, unleashing a hail of bullets. Jason reacted instantly, ducking and rolling to cover, narrowly avoiding the barrage that peppered the spot where he'd just been.
"Jason! You're dead!" Anatoly yelled, seizing the moment and aiming a six-barreled Gatling gun at Jason's cover.
The Gatling gun roared, spewing a dense wave of bullets. Under such firepower, the walls and displays offered no protection as they were shredded to bits. Jason was forced to flee, unable to even lift his weapon in the relentless onslaught.
A laser sight flickered, marking Jason as he ran. One attacker suppressed him while the other aimed to deal a fatal shot. Dodging bullets and maneuvering around obstacles, Jason finally managed to hide behind a massive concrete pillar.
But even that wasn't enough. The concrete, nearly two feet thick, began to crumble under the Gatling's armor-piercing rounds.
Caught between life and death, Jason steadied his nerves and recalled a Hollywood movie tactic—firing mid-air. It was pure fiction, but he had no other choice.
"Let's do this!" He muttered.
He crouched, gathered momentum, and launched himself from behind the crumbling pillar. While airborne, he quickly raised his gun, zeroing in on his targets.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bullets poured from his M4A1, finding their marks. He landed, rolled, and continued firing until the magazine was empty.

"Yes!" Jason thought, pumping his fist. His desperate dive had paid off, his shots landing with unexpected precision. The deafening Gatling fire stopped, replaced by Anatoly's anguished screams.
Jason quickly found a vantage point on the fourth floor, hidden but with a clear view of Anatoly. He planned to use Anatoly's cries as bait to draw out the remaining mafia members.
Sure enough, they arrived soon after, led by Vladimir, who cautiously approached his wounded brother.
"Brother, are you okay?" Vladimir called out.
Anatoly groaned, "My legs… they're shot through!"
"Damn it! Did you kill Jason?"
"Kill me? Keep dreaming," Jason muttered.
He held his breath, aimed, and pulled the trigger.
Another mafia member dropped, his head blown apart.

Seeing their comrade fall, the remaining mafia members panicked, hastily shielding Vladimir and retreating toward the emergency exit.
"JASON! SCREW YOU!" Anatoly screamed, his voice raw with desperation. Even he realized Jason's cruel game.
"Brother, don't come near me! Just go!" Anatoly shouted.
"No! I won't abandon you!" Vladimir called back from the safe passage, "Jason, let's make peace. Let me take Anatoly and leave."
Jason smirked, lying flat and calling back, "Peace? After you blew up my house and nearly killed me twice? You're insane if you think I'll let you off that easy."
"Fine! It was all Kingpin's fault. He's the one using us like pawns. Instead of fighting each other, let's take him down together!"
Jason's smile twisted into a sneer, "Don't worry, I'll get to Kingpin after I'm done with you two."
"Jason, please! Anatoly's my only family." Vladimir pleaded.
"Then come save him yourself, you coward!" Jason shouted.
He aimed carefully and fired, striking Anatoly in the leg.
"Aaahhh!" Anatoly's scream echoed through the empty mall.

"Congratulations, Vladimir! Your brother's now a lone-testicle warrior." Jason taunted.
"Jason, stop it!" Vladimir shouted desperately, "I can compensate you for your house and everything you've lost. Just please don't hurt Anatoly."
Jason's voice was icy, "Compensation? My losses can only be repaid with the lives of you and your brother."
"SCREW YOU!" Vladimir cursed, his words ringing hollow as Jason chuckled to himself, unimpressed by their lack of originality.
"Hey! Can't you hear your brother's screams? Come on out and save him!" Jason taunted.
Bang!
Another shot rang out, this one piercing Anatoly's thigh, sending fresh waves of pain coursing through him. Jason's aim was meticulous, his bullet inflicting agony without fatal damage.
Unable to take it any longer, Vladimir finally ordered one of his men to rescue his brother. The poor mafia henchman had little choice, knowing refusal meant a bullet from Vladimir.
Crawling on his stomach, the man cautiously reached Anatoly and started dragging him toward safety, leaving a smeared trail of blood.
Jason watched from his hidden position, aiming but holding his fire until they were just meters from the emergency exit.
Bang!
A bullet tore through the rescuer's skull.

"Damn it!" Vladimir cursed, punching the floor.
"Boss, Jason's baiting you! Don't take the risk." One of his remaining men warned him.
The second in command of the gang is already useless. If anything happens to the boss, this gang of mafia who have left their hometown will really have to disband.
Of course Vladimir understood that this was Jason's trick.
Reason told him to stay calm and not be fooled.
