Things had gone way rather smoothly than anyone would've expected the following morning.
Via had claimed to never have seen Ramold or either engage in a battle with him, as she even found that to be quite absurd in the first place.
Via was a supposed lady, rarely getting into scuffles despite being a high ranking Warrior knight, and so such a thing was next to being an impossibility.
She hadn't been forced to remember as Eyrik wanted to keep it at that - as if nothing had happened the previous night.
Ramold on the other hand, had no choice than to accept and apologize for imagining things, since Via demanded why she was asked such questions.
Ramold could have easily let it go and forget all that happened, yet from the look of things he wasn't going to do that.
He didn't fully comprehend the mystery and abilities of the Sword Sense itself.
The Sword Sense seemed to have possessed her entire being and whether that was according to her will or not, that he couldn't tell.
If he wanted to find out more, there was one thing he had to do and it wasn't one of the best things since he'd have to bring out the Sword Sense again - maybe even battle it once again.
The three after settling things out stood there silently, Ramold was once again lost in thought while Via had her head down and her cheeks almost as red as her fiery red hair.
She had had the subject of engaging in a fight smashed into her face, the moment she had woken up that she forgot about it.
She forgot about the proposal or declaration Eyrik had made, the dreams and fantasies she had drifted off to sleep in.
When the realization hit her, she immediately looked down as the very man she seemed to have lost her soul to, stood before her.
Eyrik couldn't help but smile at her actions, it was as if looking down would cause her to suddenly turn invisible or something and that did amuse him.
He had hidden it well, yet couldn't help but feel much more trapped in her beauty and pure love deeper than before.
He was head over mountains I love with her, however he wasn't the one to leak out a bit of affection.
"Ramold." Eyrik said barely audibly enough to draw his attention.
Ramold, snapped out of his thoughts, looked at Eyrik who stared at him with a 'you know what l mean expression'. He then turned to look at Via who had her head down, her cheeks red as if she'd been slapped lots despite her light toned brown skin. Still not quite getting what Eyrik actually meant, he then felt the change and tension in the room.
Realizing it, he gave Eyrik a slight bow and briskly walked out of the room remembering that it was breakfast time anyway. Still, a certain thought lurked at the corners of his mind - The Sword Sense.
Now it was left with Eyrik and Via in the room, they were much more silent than a graveyard which usually had weird noises coming from here and there spicing up the night.
"Today, we meet the Council Of Elders to discuss -"
"Huh, why those old fogies." Via looked up to him surprised, then quickly back down upon having her eyes meet his.
Eyrik stared at her with a startled look, just then Via's eyes widened as she realized what she had just done.
Without hesitation, she went on her knees begging him to forgive her for interrupting while he spoke.
Eyrik decided to let it pass and just take it as nothing though that was the first time someone had done that, except his father.
"It's alright Via, stand up. I don't want you to end up like a mother."Eyrik said softly, helping her up.
Via couldn't fully understand what he meant by ending up like his mother, at least she had been forgiven.
Standing before him now, she once again had her face down, her cheeks were on fire.
She tried to get a hold of her emotions, yet they were running wild like 3 year olds who'd eaten lots of wild honey.
She really didn't want to look like this in front of him, but she couldn't just get a hold of herself making her embarrassed unlike never before.
All of a sudden an electric shock ran through her entire being, as she felt something touch her then later hold her back as her face met a ripped and broad area.
Eyrik had just embraced her for a reason she couldn't tell, however this just made her smile and the warmth she felt was priceless.
She was at peace in his arms and would wish they stayed like that forever for she loved this tree with her all.
Nothing could match up to what she felt for him and even if this was to end up being one of her fantasies, she would love nothing else than to be locked up in it.
"Now get a hold of yourself Via. This weakness shouldn't be seen anyone else, especially those old dogs." Eyrik said softly, though having a tint of anger as he mentioned the elders he always addressed as old dogs even to their faces - a fearless leader Via admired.
She nodded obediently as she wouldn't want to ever go against his orders. After all she was the strong knight who not only guarded him, but also his heart too from any hounds.
The conference hall was a large one holding a capacity of hundreds, it was situated under the Craxin Castle making it secure for critical decisions to be taken up there.
Gathered up in the hall were 45 trees belonging to the Mighty Redwood Clan including its chief Eyrik the Conqueror.
The 43 elders belonging to the Council had all gathered for this sudden meeting, called by the Chief himself.
One of the elders who had been one of the last ones to receive the message had jumped, into the carriage with his night clothes on and his face being all messed up.
His colleague who had later joined up on the carriage, as they made their way to the castle was in a much worse condition.
Jukan, was one of the two youngest elders among those of the Council, since he had recently joined it during the reign of Eyrik.
He was one who never failed to respond whenever a council meeting was called, especially those from the Chief himself.
Receiving the info about the meeting, he had dashed out of the bath, upon hearing that it would be starting in minutes and so among everyone he alone stood there with just a large towel covering him up.
Eyrik upon seeing this just smiled as he was aware of Jukan's loyalty since he wouldn't take just anyone as an elder, unlike how his father did with these old dogs.
"Today I called you here for one important reason - my marriage." Eyrik bellowed to everyone's hearing.
"Oh, finally you decided to start thinking ahead." Mutal, a bald old man with a goatee said loudly.
His words weren't new to anyone there, after all who would smile at being called an old dog - though the truth hurt (Eyrik's perspective).
"I would agree with that." Another elder voiced out and soon many made their stand with Mutal, annoying Eyrik since that was much of the goal.
"Who's the bride, Chief?" A voice was heard above those of the others, bringing the room into silence.
"Finally, a sensible question." Eyrik commended one of his youngest elders, Gallon.
This of course did get some real cold stares, however Eyrik wasn't in the mood to get into a verbal battle with them. After all, he wasn't the mere step over chief who was once under their wings, anymore.
"My wife to be and the one who'd stand by my side as she always did is Via Firesun."
Thump!! The sound of someone falling like a tree was heard and it was none other than Mutal, who seemed to have just suffered a sudden heart failure.
"Ouch, guess his heart couldn't take it one bit." Jukan teased, unable to hold his laughter, his large towel falling off- oops!
