Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Home

In a world full of pirates, 16-year-old kid Cashier dreamed of becoming pirate king. Since he was born, he lived on a beautiful island known as Maubeg. On this island, there was a village located next to the shore known as Maubeg Village. Maubeg Village had a small population of about 100 people, but there were always over 300 people in the village because of the Pirate Trading Hub. The Pirate Trading Hub was located in the centre of the village, and was a place for all pirates, and even people, to buy and trade items that are necessities being a pirate. This Pirate Trading Hub, was important for Cashier in a way too. Cashier grew up with only his mother, Mai, as his Dad was a strong pirate trying to find the One Piece with his crew, which is what inspired Cashier to start a crew and find the One Piece himself. Due to this, Mai was poor and struggled to feed Cashier. Cashier noticed this, and started a dangerous task of stealing food from the Pirate Trading Hub. day after day, since he was about 7, he sneakily took food and ran back home with it. Usually it was meat or fruit, with the occasional sweet treat or unique food that was selling for a high price. But one day, when he was 12, he swiftly grabbed a locked glass safe with a fruit inside it. This fruit looked unique, but Cashier just shrugged it off and started sprinting home with it. He ran through the town, and arrived at his small house. He told Mai he got dinner, and pulled a knife out. He cut a large hole in the glass box and pulled out the fruit, and chopped it in half. Mai said she was gonna use the bathroom, and then eat. Cashier stared at orange fruit with multiple flame shaped pieces covering the outside, and was second guessing if he wanted to eat it. He held his nose, and was ready to gulp it down. He quickly ate it, and it tasted horrible. Little did Cashier know then, he had ate the Mera Mera no Mi, or more commonly known as the Flame-Flame Fruit.Â
