Emily was at her desk, organizing the pile of files Jake had delivered earlier to her.
She looked towards Alexander's office, seeing how the door remained closed. It had been like that since morning she said to herself.
"has he always been like this… distant?" Emily asked as Jake walked by, holding two cups of coffee.
"Distant is his middle name Jake said with a little smile on his face. But don't take it really personally. That is just Mr. Grey being Mr. Grey." Jake said smirking as he placed one of the cups on her desk.
"It is hard not to take it personal. I'm his personal assistant and he barely acknowledges me." Emily said.
"Give it time, it will get better" Jake said, resting on her desk.
"He is a tough puzzle to play but you have already made more progress than most people ever do." He continued.
"Progress you say? I don't think looking at me from the room counts as progress." Emily said raising an eyebrow.
