The sound of horse hooves behind them caught their attention. The mercenaries turned around and saw Limon approaching. They quickly stepped aside, creating a clear path for him.
Uzi's galloping pace slowed down, and the horse trotted forward along the path cleared by the mercenaries. At the front of the group, Limon spotted Celesna and Qina. With a soft "whinny," Uzi halted beside the two women.
Limon dismounted gracefully, and Qina and Celesna immediately moved towards him. "My lord..." Qina greeted him, while Celesna remained silent but respectful.
Limon's gaze fell upon the continuous expanse of rubble ahead. "Have you found the mine?" he asked the two women. There was nothing remarkable about the rubble in front of them; it seemed an ordinary jumble of stones, with no sign of a mine. These stones, varying in shape and size, were haphazardly scattered across the wasteland. Some were about a meter tall, while others towered nearly three meters.
