Chapter 24 - Those in Power

As the sun beat down mercilessly on the vast expanse of the Haider Desert, the events that had just unfolded left an air of tension and unease in their wake. The creature that Limon had summoned now stood as a menacing figure in the soldiers' minds. Its crimson skin glistened ominously under the harsh sunlight, every curve and contour seemingly designed to inspire fear. The fierce countenance, crowned by two diminutive yet sharp horns, added to its devilish appearance. In its clawed hand, it tightly clutched a bone staff, which seemed to thrum with an otherworldly energy. There was no mistaking it; every facet of its being exuded an aura of pure malevolence. What else could it be if not a monster born from the darkest recesses of magic?
