As the imposing figure of Limon came into view, Stavan felt an involuntary tightening in his chest. He was acutely aware that this was the presence of power. The man before him truly lived up to his formidable reputation.
He now understood why the adventurers had been so unanimous in their acclaim of this individual as a "powerhouse." Adventurers, by nature, were a proud and headstrong lot. Even when confronted with those stronger than themselves, they seldom conceded defeat. Instead, they would redouble their efforts in training, striving to surpass their superiors. For someone to earn the unreserved recognition of such a group, they could scarcely be considered weak.
Looking at Stavan as he approached, Limon's voice was calm and measured as he said, "Captain Stavan, let us dispense with the pleasantries and address the matter at hand."
This was precisely what Stavan had been hoping for. At present, the affairs of the kingdom took precedence over all else.
