Chapter 2 - My Bodyguard Is Domineering

*Melissa*

He doesn't joke? I scoff at that because everything he is spewing is an actual joke to me. Does he really think I'll adhere to his foolish rules?

Laugh my ass off.

What kind of bodyguard did my Liam's personal assistant accept.

"I don't know who you think you are-

"Sage Minho Brown," he interrupts.

I mentally count to ten so that I can control my anger, but his bland expression heightens my anger. "I really don't care who you are. I am just a writer so, there is no actual threat on my life."

He snorts. "Just a writer you say? A regular New York Times Bestselling Author. A Nobel Prize Winner Of literature too. That is not just a writer Mrs. Wright."

I feel my cheeks heat, and I know my ego is growing bigger, but I shrug off the compliment and say, "True, but I'm not a celebrity. I have gone out without my bodyguard, and I prefer doing that too."

"It's not about what you prefer Mrs. Wright."

"Melissa. Call me Mellisa," I interrupt.

"That seems slightly unprofessional. You're my boss," he says.

"Am I really? I definitely did not employ you," I say.

"But you can unemploy me if you see fit," he replies.

But I won't. You're the most attractive man I've ever seen. Since I seem to not be getting anything, at least, let my eyes be blessed with your beautiful face.

Obviously, I don't say that to his face. I'm a married woman, and I don't cheat. Liam and I love each other.

I roll my eyes at his reply, and say, "Call me Melissa."

He shrugs, but I have a feeling he won't listen.

"Anyway, I have to go and work now. See you later," I say.

I walk to the library which is also my office. I notice that he is following me. I turn immediately, and ask, "Why are you following me?"

"I want to see how your library looks. I need to peruse the area, and be sure it is safe," he says.

I roll my eyes. "There is no need for that. Here is safe."

He scoffs, and I raise an eyebrow in question as to why he did that. "You have had five break-ins in your home. Yes, you have not had one in this particular one, but prevention is better than cure."

I steel my gaze at the remembrance of that. Liam's fans tend to go crazy. It became worse when he acted as a superhero. It was as if he they could not get enough. The break-ins led to this mansion.

I liked it, but it was not as homey as our former places. Asides our housekeeper and cleaners, I'm usually alone most of the time seeing as my husband is a busy and booked actor.

I scoff at that mentally, and I walk into my library. The main place I like in this house.

I enter my library, and Sage enters as well. He looks around, and checks the windows, and ensures everything is in place. He goes to sit on a couch, and picks a random book.

"What are you doing?" I ask genuinely confused.

"Reading," he says matter of factly.

"I can see that, but why here? You can read in the sitting room or something," I tell him.

"I'll rather read where I can see you," he says.

"And if I'm asleep in my room, will you also sleep in my room?"

He doesn't answer my question, and turns his attention to the book.

I groan, but start writing knowing that my best friend and manager, Alina will soon ask if I've updated more chapters seeing as this book is supposed to be published in three months. I start typing, and ignore the man in front of me.

"Mrs Wright, won't you like to eat?" Sage asks.

"I don't feel like," I say.

"You've been writing for over four hours. If you don't eat, you still won't complete the book," he says.

I roll my eyes, and say, "I'll get something later.

I notice he stands up, but I don't bother myself, and continue typing away.

Minutes pass, and he enters inside with our house keeper who cooks sometimes. She drops the food, and Sage says, "Thank you so much Lucy."

She smiles, and replies, "No problem Sage. Thanks for telling me that Mel needed food to eat because she is starving. She tends to forget when to eat."

I scowl at him the moment Lucy leaves, and I say, "I remember telling you I will get something later because then I would've been ready."

"If you faint, it'll be on me so, I'll appreciate it if you eat well Mrs. Wright. I need my boss to be healthy so I won't have to look for another job."

The nerve of the bastard.

I have never met a less domineering man. He cannot be my bodyguard if he is going to keep on controlling me. This is just day one. How will he be in a week?

Oh no.
