It had been eighteen hours since they got in the plane from Texas. Nicole, her little brother Victor and their mother Sabrina, just arrived in USA at a city called New York. They got off the plane and picked theirs luggage. Sabrina called for a taxi to take them to their new home.

"Mum! This house is huge, compared to the one in Texas, " Victor shouted as he was climbing down from the stairs.

"Indeed son, and it's also beautiful, " Sabrina said.

The house was fully furnished.

It contained four rooms, where one was for any guest. {I think I like it} I said to myself. But I was going to miss my friends back at San Angelo. My school, and most of all my bff Whitney. She was so close that we shared everything. I knew her very well like the back of my hand.

"Honey, we should probably start unpacking and get settled, " Mom said interrupting my thoughts.

I quickly took my suitcases and headed to my new room. It was big and had a very beautiful wall painting, pink. Victor chose his, of which I think he liked.

I started unpacking, I hunged my clothes in the wardrobe, made my bed. As I was taking out some stuff in my bag, I came across a picture of my dad and I. It has been four years since he died, when I was twelve. Those were the most hard times for us, especially my mom. But life had to go on.

Sabrina went outside after arranging everything she could. The environment was so calm, there was a cool breeze and everything felt at peace. But this feeling was interrupted by a neighbour across their house.

"Hello good evening, " She greeted.

"Um, my name is Shantel, I live nearby.... " She said.

"Oh, my name is Sabrina, I am actually new to the town, " Sabrina said.

Shantel had a tray of pie on her hands. She was actually a baker and owned the bakery in town. This is her habit of being kind and hospitable to others.

She's married to Tom and has two children, Kevin and Montel. Kevin was the oldest and Montel same age as Victor which is seven years.

Sabrina accepted the gift with much gratitude and got inside the house.

{I guess this neighborhood isn't bad after all} I thought to myself. I then started feeling hungry. We had just finished arrangements in the kitchen.

"Mom, what are we having for dinner? I'm starving..." I said.

"Oh honey, what do you want to have for dinner? " She asked.

Before I could even answer, Victor jumped on the kitchen's island. "Pizza, mixed with macaroni cheese... And club soda and... "

"Ok sweetie let's go, " She cut him.

It wasn't long when my mom boarded a taxi and it drove us to a nearby mall. It was so beautiful. It was huge and cotained everything. We directly went to the bakery and ordered. Mom ordered fried potatoes, the pizza and bread. As we went to the cashier to pay for the things we had bought, something happened.

"Nic, you forgot the club sodas!!! " Victor shouted.

"Um... Ok I'll go get them, " I said going back to pick the drinks.
