As Henry leaned on the ship's railing, he noticed a figure approaching a little further down the deck. It was the young artist, Willam that Henry had met earlier. The one who had stirred something within him, a feeling henry couldn't quite decipher. Henry watched as Willam walked to the railing, looking out at the vast sea, Willam's blonde fluffy hair moving gently in the wind. Henry's heart fluttered slightly at the sight, his mind momentarily shifting from the mysterious note to the captivating appearance of the Willam. He couldn't help but admire the way the sunlight played on the blonde strands of Willam's hair, making them almost glow. The Willam didn't seem to notice Henry's gaze on him. Willam's focus fully on the sea, his arms resting on the railing. Henry was so captivated by Willam's presence that henry almost missed the sound of footsteps approaching him. Henry turned his head and saw a middle-aged man, the owner of the ship, Mr. Andrews, approaching him, looking a bit serious..
"Ah, Mr. Bukater, there you are I would like to have a word with you, if you have a moment." Andrews said. His voice professional and calm
"Uh... Sure, why not." Henry said. His expression is cold and hard to read now.
Andrews' expression remained grim as he "Please follow me" Andrew said. He glanced at the people around them on the deck, and then motioned with his head to a secluded corner where they wouldn't be overheard.
"Alright." Henry said. Following where Andrew lead him to. Once they were alone, Henry wait for Andrew to speek.
Andrew seem to be hesitating for a moment before clearing his troat . "It's.. uh, it's about your fiancé" Andrew said. Looking at Henry.
Henry didn't seem surprised or caught off guard. Seeming as if it's casual conversation. Henry's expression is same cold. "Oh.. what about her?"
Andrew was surprised by Henry's cold response. "Oh, um, right.. so... I wanted to tell something you don't know about your fiancé. And I think you should be... Awar of it from now on." Andrew said, looking hesitate but a bit serious. Henry just silently waited for Andrew to continue.
"It's about her, her... past,There are rumors, rumors that she hasn't always been the... respectable lady she presents herself as now." Andrew said.
"They say she wasn't always the well-mannered, posh girl her family presents her as...She apparently led a wilder life before her parents decided to marry her off. Parties, scandal, men..." Andrew said.
Henry felt a pang of disgust in his gut. It wasn't entirely surprising to hear this about his fiancé, not after the countless fake smiles and polite lies he had endured. But the idea that she might have had... intimacy with other men didn't sit well with him. It filled him with a strange mixture of anger and revulsion. But he was more relaxed that he doesn't have to marry her if he wants now.
"I understand this is unpleasant to her. But I thought you had the right to know before you go through with the engagement. You're a gentleman, Henry. You deserve better than a spouse with a past like that." Andrew said. Thinking he will shoot Henry's worry but what Andrew didn't know was Henry allrady happy.
