"Ahh.....that hits the spot"
Holding a can of cold coffee in his right hand and a hot burger in other hand, I looked around my surrounding, big skyscrapers all around and a lot of people busy in there own life.
Ahh all these noices they irritate me so much and don't get me started on pollution what is it a gas chamber.
Looking around he noticed a shop "Ohh...is that a food shop I am seeing there?Looks like I have to visit it some day, well for .. investigation purpose only"
Yeah just purely for investigation purpose not that he want to eat all there delicious food, definitely not.
"Well I gotta go or i will be late for my first day, can't let that happen now, can we"
But before that he finished his burger and coffee and tossed the empty can in the near dustbin.
When the lights turned green for pedestrians, he crossed the busy street and entered the police station, after entering he observed that it was just like a regular police station nothing much nothing less.
I expected big cities police stations to be a lot bigger and fancier than small cities.
"It's just like my home town...lammme"
"And what is lame?"
Said a voice from his behind, startled he looked back and spotted a man or a zom..zombie??
Well to be honest you can't blame me,He looks like he haven't slept for a long time, his eyes looks like someone gave him a good beating.
He is quite tall may be 6'2 and damn if you ignore his panda eyes he is good looking not as much as me though, he has raven black hair, midnight Black colour eyes, untidy clothes dry mud on his shoes,
Red mud? Hmm red mud is usually used in cement applications and there is only 2 cement manufacturers in this city, well whatever
Looking at his two silver stars, he is one of the three Superintendent of this branch, and from my knowledge one of superintendent is 53 years old and other is 47 and by the looks he is not more than 37 or 38
He is wearing lorex watch and that particular model is '1.27 million Pana' must be a fake one no way a superintendent earn that much

"Who are you kid?"
Inquired the superintendent
Breaking his inner thoughts he replied while saluting
"Sub-inspector Manav reporting to duty Sir"
Without responding to him Superintendent calls someone.
"Addi"
Suddenly he saw a fatty running towards them and he guessed him to be 'addi' he came and saluted to the superintendent while giving him a curious side glance and asked
"Yes Sir?"
"Handle him"
After Saying that panda eye superintendent left.
I saw him entering inside an office and by looking at the sign bord above door it's detective unit office.
"Are you a new recruit?"
Turning to fatty and taking a good at him, he looks quite cute to be honest his chubby face, brown hairs and grey eyes suits him well, just his height is a little on a shorter side 5'6. Oh, he has three brown stars, so he is a inspector.
"Yes sir"
I replied to fatty but he seems to be mumbling something very quietly 'he is young' something like this, well I am young indeed I just turned 23 last month.
"Hi, my name is Aditya but everyone call me addi, you can also call me that and as you can see I am inspector and your senior but you don't have to be formal around me, I am 28 years old, if you need me you can find me in detective unit, that's about it for the intro. So, which unit are you assigned?"
Woh even the way he talk is so cute.
"Guess we'll be seeing each other often then, I am also in detective unit, by the way that panda eyed superintendent what's his name and which unit is he a head of, I hope he is not in detective unit he looks a litty grumpy to me, don't tell him though ok?"
I winked at him but fatty or addi seem to be perplexed maybe about my panda eye joke after waiting for few seconds when the silence was getting a little awkward addi replied
"That's good now we have 2 new recruits in our department although not as much as other units but it's a good number nevertheless and about that superintendent his name is Abel.. Abel Shanzom and he is from detective unit but..but don't worry I won't rat you out you can count on me"
Thank God I didn't ramble any nonsense infront of panda eye, no the superintendent otherwise my first day would have been my last day.
"Come let me take you to our working space and while on the way I'll explain a little about our unit.
1. we have three teams in detective Unit (DU) each managed by Deputy Superintendent and they report to sir Abel head of the DU.
2. At the end of every year whichever team in DU perform well that team will get 6 months salary as bonus and 5 days holiday, so there is war going on, on our unit

"Wait wait... Are you serious 6 months pay as bonus? When did government became so generous?"
"Hahah well actually not all is given by government only 3 months pay is taken from police funds as reward and other 3 months from sir Abel's pockets, he decided it himself"
"Wow, so that was original watch huh"
He must be rich then or maybe corrupt, we'll know soon enough.
"Which watch? Well anyways where were we, yeah
3. Every team has 5 members each including Deputy Superintendent they are our team leaders and i think this much is fine for now"
"So, which team am i in?"
I hope i am in good team
"Sir Abel must have informed your team leader already, so wait for them in the meanwhile..."
Fatty opened detective unit office doors and habibi it's a huge office which is divided into five section, one section is a cabin and above that cabin door was written [Head of Detective Unit] second section is where coffee machine, water purifier, and other food related stuff is, in third section there are three mini cabins surrounding sir Abel's cabin and they are team leads cabins, fourth section is confrence room fully covered in glass and it's also quite big.
And the last section which is by far the largest is our working area there are white boards multiple of them, our own not so little cubicles,
Printing, Xerox, fax etc machines, and other important stuff.
"But where is everyone else?"
It was such a beautiful working space but where the hell is everyone?
