This book was conceived hastily.
For reasons many of you can guess, times have been tough financially. Even the most capable person might worry about their wallet—let alone someone like me.
So, I decided to return to writing.
I've always dreamed of writing a book.
Originally, I wanted to write a wuxia or xianxia story. But after submitting drafts four or five times without success, I had no choice but to switch gears.
I couldn't go hungry forever, so I bit the bullet and started this Harry Potter fanfiction. It wasn't even submitted for internal review. I thought, "At least fanfiction has a better chance of getting accepted." My plan was to earn some income from this book while figuring out the market.
To my surprise, the book took off like a rocket.
Humans are funny creatures. When you have nothing, it's easy to be carefree. But when things go better than expected, you start worrying.
The pacing of the second volume wasn't great, and I fully deserve criticism for it.
Still, I shamelessly ask for your continued support as I work to improve!
Voldemort: I had no choice but to make him smarter. In the original, Rowling wrote him as surprisingly foolish for a dark lord. This Voldemort is cunning, manipulative, and far more intelligent, as he was described in his youth.
Dumbledore: To me, Dumbledore has never been a pure "White Wizard." Ruthless? Maybe in his younger days. But now, he's more restrained. If he truly had full control, the events of Year 5 would have unfolded differently.
Percy: The original depicted him as a bit of a fool. But with twelve O.W.L.s (even Hermione didn't get that many), Percy is undeniably talented. If he craves power and recognition, it makes sense he'd try to be a proper older brother and prefect.
I hope you'll stick with the story as I develop these characters and their arcs further.
On the Love Interest This will be a single love interest story.
While the Witcher series is often joked about for Geralt's romantic escapades, anyone who's read the original knows how that ends.
