The essence of ninjutsu is based on one's own chakra, released through the flow of chakra in the meridians, combined with hand signs to shape the chakra.
Whether it is wind release, lightning release, or fire release, even the so-called bloodline limits, they are all based on this essence.
The change in chakra's form or nature is even more so the case.
Even the Sharingan is a form of yin release manifestation.
This is Sarutobi Hiruzen's understanding: all uses of ninjutsu or genjutsu are built upon the use of chakra.
"Sakura, your chakra affinities are Yin, Yang, Water, and Earth."
"It's quite a good chakra, but overall, it leans towards supporting, medical, and genjutsu types of ninja."
In the third training field, Sarutobi Hiruzen freed himself from his official duties and took the time to personally teach his prized disciple.
Besides Sarutobi Hiruzen and Sakura, Asuma Sarutobi was also sitting to the side.
Even though a few years ago, because of a falling out with Sarutobi Hiruzen, he had left home and gone to serve as one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja for five years, the grudge had long since dissipated.
He now understood the difficulties his father faced as Hokage.
"But I don't feel like I'm a support-type ninja?" Sakura raised her hand.
Ninja. Right now, she is a blend of power and speed, combining the invulnerable strength of Gamabunta and the healing recovery of the slug, making her quite the powerhouse in taijutsu.
She could be described as a tank who can fight, take hits, heal, and is fast.
The only weakness at the moment is genjutsu.
But that's not a problem, as long as she summons a small slug to sit on her shoulder before battle.
Sakura could be considered the top of her age group.
Unless her opponent is a jinchuriki capable of unleashing a tailed beast, no one is her match.
"That's because Sakura is exceptional."
Sarutobi Hiruzen gently touched the pink hair of the girl in front of him, smiling.
"Sakura's individual combat ability is impressive."
"But if her opponent is someone who uses large-scale ninjutsu and excels at restraining others..."
"Sakura would probably be in trouble."
Upon hearing Sarutobi Hiruzen's words, Sakura paused.
It seems she really didn't have a good solution, unless she summoned a sufficiently large slug to use its sticky acid with its tongue, but that would drain a lot of chakra, making it difficult to fight for long...
"This is my old man's jutsu, along with the shuriken shadow clone technique."
Sarutobi Hiruzen slowly took out two scrolls from his sleeves and handed them to Sakura.
Shuriken Enlargement Technique.
Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique.
Old man's combo move.
Looking at the two scrolls, Sakura blinked and asked:
"If I throw the enlarged shuriken using my super strength and combine it with the shuriken shadow clone technique, would that be powerful?"
Before Sakura could finish her sentence, Sarutobi Hiruzen already knew what the girl was thinking.
In fact, he had been planning this as well.
The power of combining the three techniques would be beyond imagination.
"Yes, go practice."
Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled as he watched the little girl run off to study the scrolls.
Asuma Sarutobi had not spoken from the beginning; he merely observed everything silently.
From their brief conversation, he learned that the girl in front of him had already mastered Tsunade's super strength.
This impressed him, as he knew how difficult it was to learn that power.
But from Sarutobi Hiruzen and Sakura's conversation, it seemed this child was learning effortlessly and could apply it to other techniques as well.
"Old man, is this your jewel?"
Asuma asked, looking at Sakura, who was seriously studying the scroll.
"It's not just Sakura; all the children in the village are my jewels."
Sarutobi Hiruzen stood up, rubbed his stiff waist, and lightly spoke to his younger son:
"You've been back for so long, and you haven't gone to check on Konohamaru yet."
Upon hearing Konohamaru's name, Asuma's expression stiffened slightly.
He wasn't good at interacting with children, especially not a hyperactive five-year-old.
"Alright, alright, I'll go..."
Asuma waved his hand, a little helplessly.
Looking at his son, Sarutobi Hiruzen's gaze softened a bit.
When one gets old, the thing they want most is to see their children thriving under their care.
Now that Asuma was back, and the child he had placed so much hope in was growing stronger, the pain from the wars of the past seemed to have healed. This made the old man smile.
"Alright, old man."
"I'll go now, I have other matters to attend to, but I'll check on Konohamaru tonight."
Asuma patted his body and stood up, ready to leave.
"Is it because of the girl from the Yuhi family?"
Suddenly, Sarutobi Hiruzen's face broke into a mischievous smile.
"Uh, well..."
"Why do you care so much about that, old man?"
Asuma's face flushed, and he awkwardly responded before stuffing his hands into his pockets and leaving.
Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled as he watched Asuma leave. His cloudy eyes seemed to glimpse the emergence of the next generation of Konoha.
However, when his gaze returned to Sakura, he found that the girl had already raised an enormous shuriken and was excitedly calling to him.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's smile grew wider.
The techniques he taught Sakura weren't particularly difficult, but they were very practical.
Still, mastering the Shuriken Enlargement Technique in such a short amount of time was truly extraordinary.
Sakura's learning talent amazed him. Her ability to learn was something most people couldn't match.
Even Sarutobi Hiruzen himself, at her age, couldn't compare to this child with her beautiful pink hair.
"Master, I did it!"
Sakura ran up to Sarutobi Hiruzen with a giant shuriken that was half her size, smiling brightly at him.
"Sakura is amazing."
Sarutobi Hiruzen lightly laughed and patted Sakura's head.
This learning ability, he had only seen in Orochimaru.
It was as if he saw the shadow of that former disciple through Sakura.
But Sakura wasn't Orochimaru; she had much more than he did.
And Sarutobi Hiruzen would continue to guide this child's growth.
Until she reached a certain height, he had no intention of letting her go.
"Sakura, now try the Shuriken Shadow Clone technique."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's words made Sakura smile.
She truly regarded Sarutobi Hiruzen as her master.
After all, over the years, he had always been there to protect her, making her feel as though even a stone could be kept warm.
