Chapter 17 - Fight For Love

Elina was still reluctant about letting Zion touch her even after all the promises he made but when she finally agreed to him, an intrusion occured.

"You bastard!" Kelvin yelled as he ran toward them.

'Senior Kelvin?' Zion thought inwardly as he saw the senior run towards them. 'How did he know I was here?'

"Bastard!" Kelvin yelled and forcefully grabbed Zion by the collar. He pushed him to the wall, slamming his back against the hard surface. "I was made to think that you are a cool kid with senses but no! You sre nothing other than bastard!" He grunted, pressing Zion to the wall with all his might.

Elina came to separate them but Kelvin pushed her away, causing her to lose balance and fall. Seeing this, Kelvin's eyes widened and he instantly let go of Zion and rushed over to her.

"Lina, are you okay?" He asked as he helped her up to her feet again. "I'm sorry, please."

Zion watched the both of them silently. Despite being treated harshly a second ago, Elina still allowed the boy to touch her... Why?

"Let me take you back to your room," Kelvin said to Elina and the both of them left.

Dismayed, Zion stood there. Elina didn't even glance at him while leaving... Why? What did he do wrong? Wasn't she the one who told him to come? Wasn't she just about giving in to him? What went wrong?

"Big brother?" Aria's soft voice came from the side and Zion looked up, only to find Aria staring at him with a 'sorry' expression on her face.

"What are you also doing here?" He asked her.

"I saw senior Kelvin run this way so I followed him," she replied.

"How did you know I was here?" Zion asked her. He didn't remember telling her he was coming to this place so he also wondered how she knew he was here.

"I followed your scent," she replied and he gazed at her in surprise.

"I see," he mumbled and stood out of the wall. "Argh!" He grunted as he felt a sharp pain on his back.

"Big brother, are you alright?" Aria asked him.

"I'm fine," Zion replied and gritted his teeth. 'I don't know how strong he is but he's definitely a strong person. If I have to deal with him, I have to become stronger.'

"Big brother, let's go back," Aria said to him.

"Yeah, let's return."

The two of them left the back of the hall and returned to their quarters after saying good night to each other. Upon returning to his room, Zion glanced at Allen's place and noticed that the door was closed.

He passed and went into his room. Even when he tried to sleep, he couldn't.

He laid in bed, his mind racing with thoughts of the day's events. He couldn't shake off the feeling of frustration and confusion. Why had Elina reacted that way? And what was the relationship between her and Kelvin?

As he tossed and turned, Zion's thoughts turned to his own strengths and weaknesses. He realized that he needed to become stronger, not just physically, but also emotionally. He couldn't let people like Kelvin push him around.

Just as Zion was starting to drift off to sleep, he heard a faint noise coming from outside his room. It sounded like someone was moving around, trying not to be heard.

Zion's instincts kicked in, and he slowly got out of bed, his senses on high alert. He approached the door, listening carefully, and that's when he heard it again - the sound of footsteps, light and cautious.

Zion's hand instinctively went to the hilt of his sword, his heart pounding with anticipation. Who could be sneaking around at this hour? And what did they want?

Zion's eyes narrowed as he slowly opened the door, his sword at the ready. He was prepared for anything, but he wasn't expecting to see Kelvin standing in the hallway, his eyes blazing with anger.

"You think you can just touch her and get away with it?" Kelvin growled, his voice low and menacing.

Zion's grip on his sword tightened, his mind racing with possibilities. "What are you talking about?" he asked, trying to sound calm.

Kelvin sneered. "Don't play dumb with me. I saw you trying to touch Elina earlier. You think you can just waltz in here and start touching her without her permission?"

Zion's eyes flashed with anger. "I wasn't trying to hurt her. I was just trying to..."

Kelvin cut him off, his voice rising. "You don't get to try anything with her. She's not some plaything for you to experiment with. She's a person, and she deserves respect."

Zion's face burned with anger, but he knew that Kelvin had a point. He had been careless and thoughtless, and he needed to apologize.

"I'm sorry," Zion said, his voice sincere. "I didn't mean to disrespect her. I was only trying to ease her worries."

Kelvin scoffed. "Ease her worries you say? Isn't it more like using her and then dumping her?"

"I know I was wrong but I won't let you talk nonsense to me," Zion grunted.

"Idiot!" Kelvin grunted. And Without warning, he drew his sword and charged at Zion.

'Damn it!' Zion grunted inwardly. He was caught off guard, but he quickly regained his composure and drew his own sword. The two of them clashed, their blades flashing in the dim light of the hallway.

"I'm going to make you pay for touching Elina!" Kelvin yelled.

He was a skilled swordsman, and he quickly gained the upper hand. Zion parried and riposted, but Kelvin's attacks were relentless. Zion stumbled backward, his sword trembling with the force of Kelvin's blows.

'He's strong.' He hissed internally as he tried to fight back.

Just when it seemed like Kelvin was about to deliver the final blow, Zion made a desperate lunge, his sword slicing through the air. Kelvin parried the attack with ease, but Zion's movement had given him a brief respite.

Kelvin took advantage of Zion's momentary weakness and launched a devastating counterattack. Zion stumbled backward, his sword flying out of his hand. Kelvin raised his sword, ready to deliver the final blow.

But just as the blade was about to fall, a voice rang out from the shadows.

"Enough!"

Kelvin turned to see Allen standing in the doorway, his eyes narrowed in disapproval. Allen's sword was drawn, and he looked ready to intervene.

Kelvin's eyes flashed with anger, but he seemed to think better of challenging Allen. With a snarl, he lowered his sword and backed away from Zion.

Zion took advantage of the reprieve to scramble to his feet, his eyes locked on Kelvin. He was still seething with anger, but he knew better than to challenge Kelvin again.

Allen's eyes flicked between the two of them, his expression unreadable. "I think it's time for you both to calm down and reflect on your actions. Kelvin, go back to your room. Zion, come with me."

Without waiting for a response, Allen turned and walked away, expecting Zion to follow him. Zion hesitated for a moment, his eyes locked on Kelvin, before turning and following Allen.

Allen led Zion into his room and when they had settled down, Allen began.

"What you did, do you think it was the right thing to do?"
