For some reason the man seemed to shed some tears. The boy gave his handkerchief so the man could wipe his tears.
"Why? All I did was torture you all this time and yet you are helping me? Kid...I apologise for my sin. I know you won't forgive me but I will make sure to take care of you from now on." said Kaiser.
"..."
Aldo didn't replied but he thought that Kaiser isn't really bad guy since he understood his own mistakes.
"So, what are you doing here anyway? I mean, you came here even though you knew it's dangerous? Well, since you have a strange ability it's understandable. But the question is why?" asked Kaiser.
Aldo told him why he had came here to collect necessary materials and some equipments.
"I see, that's your plan. Well, I still think you are dangerous but you are not abusing your powers."
"..."
The boy stared at the dead bodies, including Jack and others.
"Well, it's true they were with me for so long and I couldn't protect them in the end. However, I understand why this all happened. It was my fault for being ruthless to you children. But now even those innocent children are dead... I don't deserve to live anymore."
"..."
"However, if you wish you can use me just as I used you before. I am ready to accept my punishments for what I had done."
The boy seemed to forgive Kaiser and only wants him to tag along. Aldo had also offered him if they could become friends.
"Really now, I feel guilty now. Kid, I take an oath that I would never do anything selfish and harm others."
"Anyway, so what do you say about your strange ability that had protected you yesterday?" continued Kaiser, asking a question.
The boy replied, telling him everything on what exactly happened yesterday starting from when he got near to a strange tree.
"I see, strange voices you often hear but they aren't much audible. But you atleast heard something important yesterday when we were punishing you? To look in the eyes of your dog, huh?"
Aldo nodded in response.
"Hm, according to what you told me so far. It seems like you turned those bats into giant flying monsters, representing bats. By looking in their eyes. You just wanted to defend yourself but those creatures weren't able to obey you completely and they killed my men, right?"
Boy agreed on what Kaiser said.
"But only Archie is the one who seems to follow your commands way better than other animals. Why is that?"
Aldo had no idea why Archie followed his every command and why it was conscious about its surroundings.
"I think I understand why." said Kaiser.
"..." Aldo looked curious as to what kind of answer Kaiser got.
"We often train pets, especially dogs or cats and so they become more loyal and obey our commands. You may have power to transform and control animals but it seems like your power may not influence much if the targeted animal isn't trained by you."
"You could also put it like, that your powers may control even more effectively if the particular target obey your commands in their original form or they have bond with you. Archie is your loyal pet so you can control him very well." continued Kaiser.
"..."
"Furthermore... Sometimes your loyal pets may not listen to your commands but if you transform them, they will be forced to follow your command or perhaps they might not even realise they are following your commands."
"..." Aldo seemed surprised by what Kaiser told him.
"It's just my theory. It might even be possible that your transformed loyal pet might even forget what it was ordered to do forcibly in order to maintain your original bonds and trust." explained Kaiser.
"..."
"So in other words, your bonding with any kind of animal might help you use your powers more effectively." said Kaiser.
Aldo asked Kaiser where those transformed bats headed for.
"Ah yes, they were headed in random directions after confirming all the kills. I was hiding here all night. However it's not a good spot to hide so I had to bet on my life since I wasn't able to even stand up or perhaps even now."
"..."
Archie came back after collecting enough materials, inside his mouth.
"For real, I hate that sticky fluid of this one. Why did it brought everything using his mouth. I may vomit!"
"..." Aldo stood up and quickly began to make some medicines as well as preparing something to wrap around the injured areas. Like bandages or something similar.
After careful creations, boy took good care of the man. Then, Aldo helped the man to sit on the back of Archie.
"Atleast you are really a good learner since you made those medicines and all using the knowledge we gave you. Haha, never thought twhat we taught you would be useful in times like this."
Aldo also sat on the Archie's back and began to lead it to a certain direction.
"So are we headed for a certain cave to mine some ores to make weapons that could work these creatures?"
Aldo nodded in response.
"My legs aren't working properly or else I would have helped you."
"..."
After sometime, Aldo reached his destination along Kaiser and his pet Archie (cerberus form)
Aldo slowly pulled the pickaxe and a laser gun, going down the path which leads to those ores necessary to make some strong weapons.
Archie followed the kid behind while Kaiser is sitting on the back of Archie.
"By the way, why did you brought this weapon here? I think all of my men are dead already."
"..."
Aldo explained that he is merely afraid of those transformed bats who might attack despite what power he holds.
"Well, being cautious is good and all but isn't it too much haha-"
The transformed bats suddenly showed up and began to match forward, towards Kaiser.
"Ah shit!"
Kaiser lowered his head to avoid the giant claws of those creatures.
"Yeah, I forgot that they would not listen to your commands very well and they might be still following the previous command. In other words, their target is none other than myself." said Kaiser.
