Chapter 62: Shaky Hands And Shaky Breath.
Laura's POV
I walked into the hall with my hand locked elegantly with Xavier's arms as we both made our way past the entrance, our walk aligning.
I could see the host of the party from where I was, and there were some people standing in front of him, judging from their backs, I thought about my family but shook my head against them being the one.
Cole noticed us and his gaze darted from the people right in front of him to me. I smiled at him and he smiled back, but I knew Xavier would do nothing related to that. We had held hands in that position the moment we entered the hall so we could be labelled as the perfect couple that they all don't know we aren't.
He needn't tell me but I know that I have to put on a perfect act, it was the first outing we would be attending together as a couple.
