Chapter 28: Noticed But Ignored
Laura POV
The drive to the mall was rough with the rain growing more heavy. All I could think of was Arianna, if she's okay or not, I gave directions to the mall where we had went to pick the wedding dress up.
I didn't know the name, but I haven't forgotten how I got there.
The car pulled up and Xavier walked out. I also did.
Shit! The rain was more heavy than I had thought.
I held the umbrella firmly, locating the slider and slides it up real quick making the canopy expand. It brought shelter over my head.
I rushed to Xavier who had got drenched. I placed an umbrella over his head bringing shelter to both of us.
He turned to look and saw me holding an umbrella to his head. My toes were hurting! I was standing on them because he is taller.
He stared at me for a second before talking.
"I don't need that"
