"what happened? What did he tell you? Did he say harsh words to you again?" Curiosity ate Olivia whole. She wanted to know what the man told Giselle.
"Calm down. Breath" Giselle smiled as she spoke.
"Okay. I'm calm. Now tell me"
Giselle's face turned red as she looked away.
"What's with that reaction?" Olivia looked at her suspiciously.
"He apologized and said he wants to make it up to me for saying what he said yesterday" she blushed hard.
Olivia's eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh" Olivia didn't believe it.
"Make it up to you? In what way?"
"Tonight, he wants to give me a ride home. And he wants to have dinner with me tomorrow"
Olivia was really happy. She was happy that the cold CEO invited her friend to have dinner. She considered it a date.
"That's good for you. Enjoy it while it lasts".
Giselle was happy. She felt butterflies in her stomach.

It was finally time to go home. Olivia wished Giselle good luck for a reason unknown to Giselle. She told her good bye and left.
Giselle saw Roderick's car approach and she suddenly started feeling nervous.
Roderick got out of the car and walked to her with a smile. Giselle couldn't move. She swallowed. She felt like this was going to be great.
"Giselle" he whispered her name and it sounded like music to her ears.
Roderick opened the door for her and signalled her to get in. Giselle nodded her head and walked in. Roderick smiled widely before he opened the car and got in.
"Seatbelt"
Giselle fastened her seatbelt and exhaled loudly.
Roderick made sure they were good before the car accelerated.
Roderick hated the silence. He wanted to talk to her but everything was stuck in his throat. Giselle already gave him directions and he drove.
"So awkward" Giselle murmured.
"Did you say something?"
Giselle remember Roderick saying he liked her honesty and she suddenly wanted to be honest towards him.
"Its so awkward. None of us is saying anything" Roderick laughed. He liked this girl.
"Well, I have questions to ask you but I just thought you'd feel uncomfortable" Roderick spoke his mind.
"But it's better to say something" Giselle remarked.
"So.... Can I ask?"
"I'll answer if it's answerable"
Roderick took a deep breath and stopped the car.
Giselle looked puzzled.
"Let's watched the stars there" he said pointing at the bridge.
Giselle smiled. She tried to hide it.
"Okay"
She got out of the car and Roderick followed.
She looked at the sky in awe. She liked looking at the night sky. She had liked it since she was a little girl.
"Do you like it?" Roderick was forced to ask. Seeing the joy in her eyes made him wonder.
"Yes, I do."
She simply replied but her eyes didn't leave the spot she was looking at.
Roderick looked at the sky too.
For the first, he wanted to stay longer with a girl. He wanted more of this. It was the first the both of them did this kind of thing or even spoke to each other well and he already wanted more of it.
"So can I ask now?" He was so nervous at the moment.
"Go on. I will answer if it's answerable as I said".
"What happened to your face?" He whispered. Giselle smiled.
What was that? Does he care about her?.
"Can I say I was bullied? Cause I couldn't fight back and I don't know my offense" she said rather to herself.
Roderick saw the sadness in her eyes. Who the hell tried to bully his g... He wanted to say his girl but stopped himself.
"Who? What happened?"
Giselle looked at him. Like she was hesitant to say it but Roderick couldn't possibly tell her to not tell him now. He wanted to know who bullied Giselle.
"Its answerable" he murmured.
"Its my step mom" she voice almost sounded like a whisper.
"What did she do to you?" Roderick wanted to know. Why would her step mom hit her like that?
"She gave me a kind of slap I've never received in my entire life" she already thought she sounded boring so she decided to lit the mood.
She smiled brightly and stole a glance from the Roderick who didn't say anything.
Meanwhile, the man was angry and speechless at the same time. The way Giselle spoke really made him laugh.
He didn't like the fact that Giselle was sad and smiling at the same time.
He suddenly wanted her to be happy.
"What is wrong with me? Why do I feel like there's something more to what I think I feel for her?" He was thinking hard.
Giselle didn't like it that he did not reply. She wanted him to say something. Things was getting awkward again. Giselle looked at him again as he also turned to look at her.
"Are you single?"
Giselle thought she miss heard him. She wasn't expecting anything like that at all.
"Hmm?" She couldn't speak.
"Are you single?" He asked again.
He would have known all these things about her but didn't check the information he asked his assistant to get for him. He wanted to hear everything from her. He thought it was a bad time to ask something like that but he couldn't help it. He was starting to think Julian was right.
"Yes. Why?"
What was she expecting?
"I don't know. It just came" Roderick looked away as soon as she spoke. It wasn't the right time to say he liked her, it was it?
He regretted asking her immediately. He didn't like to be patient but he knew he had to be patient her. He wanted to move gradually.
