They locked up the shop and left. Just moments after they departed, someone dashed over to the door of Forget-Your-Worries Milk Tea—only to find it locked.
He stared at the closed sign, looking crestfallen:
"Why is it shut already? Did I imagine the milk tea I just had...?"
Unaware of that near-encounter, the two store owners had already arrived at Liuxian Pavilion.
Since Yun Zijin had dined there before with Lu Yunque, the front-desk staff and waiters recognized her and were very welcoming. Even though they wanted a private room without a reservation, the manager quickly arranged one for them.
Meanwhile, at another location, Lu Yunque received a short text from the Liuxian Pavilion manager, stating that "Miss Yun" was there for dinner—but nothing else. This minor breach of professional etiquette was the extent of the manager's favor to Lu.
Liuxian Pavilion's manager:
"Young Master Lu, Miss Yun is having dinner here. Just FYI.
Lu Yunque glanced at the message, unsure what to do with the news. But this detail didn't concern Yun Zijin. She was, at that moment, perusing the menu at Liuxian Pavilion with Qin Sitong.
"I've heard you usually need a reservation well in advance to dine here. I never thought I'd get to eat at such a fancy place one day," Qin Sitong remarked, gazing around the private room, grateful to Yun Zijin for the opportunity.
"The restaurant owner is a friend of Mr. Lu," explained Yun Zijin. "I came here once before, and it was superb. All the dishes were excellent."
"In that case, I need to savor everything carefully—because who knows when I'll be back."
Qin Sitong knew perfectly well that without Yun Zijin, there was no way she'd be enjoying a private room at Liuxian Pavilion on such short notice.
Thus ended their first triumphant day of the Wangyou (Forget-Your-Worries) Milk Tea Shop.
