Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Apocalypse Bell

The Legend of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

In the beginning, there were four gods, born from the origin, standing beside the throne of the Almighty. They were powerful warriors, holding the power to protect and maintain the balance of the world. Each of the gods represented an aspect of life, and together they formed the cycle of existence.

The Age of Prosperity – "The Golden Age"

From the cosmic perspective, there were worlds that shimmered like precious gems, and one of them was Aerlandia, a world crafted by the hands of the gods, where light illuminated every corner of life. During "The Golden Age," the kingdoms like the older, the mother, the father, and the brother were once a unified entity known as the "Holy Land of Light Agnor and Vetra."

It was a time of human greatness, where souls protected life and prosperity. Mighty warriors and exceptional talents arose. The Guardians of the Divine Temples, those chosen by the gods, executed their will. They possessed extraordinary powers and were seen as messengers between heaven and earth. The Divine Councils divided the rule among the kings.

Like a flame flickering from the ashes, greed and arrogance crept into the hearts of the four mighty gods, who were once entrusted with the responsibility to maintain balance by the deities. They began to scorn the gods, believing they deserved to rule all things and no longer needed to obey the will of any other force. These four gods were **War**, **Pestilence**, **Famine**, and **Death**.

In the darkness of temptation, they performed a dark ritual, unleashing their divine powers and transforming into beings who had lost their humanity. They became legendary warriors – the **Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse**, each holding a destructive power and becoming symbols of decay.

Their fall from grace led to the **Rising War**, where they used their new powers to challenge the gods and rule the human world through violence and terror. **War** led the conflicts, drowning the world in chaos. **Famine** spread hunger and suffering across the lands, depleting all sources of life. **Pestilence** spread disease, and **Death** harvested innocent souls, creating an eternal darkness.

Knight of War (Wariel) - Sealed at The Older

The sky was as red as blood, the screams of warriors echoing through the air. With every step, a battle broke out. At the highest peak of Agnor, Morti stood amidst thousands of fallen soldiers and horses, weapons shattered.

War's gaze was burning, his eyes filled with the essence of endless destruction. The dark red sword in War's hand glowed as he raised it, preparing to deliver a strike that would shatter the world's existence and drive the tiny souls into madness.

Suddenly, a group of mighty warriors from all the kingdoms were summoned, not to fight, but to demonstrate a common will for humanity. They gathered around War, forming a circle, abandoning their weapons to show their resolve—no more fighting.

This action bewildered War, leaving him confused. A magic circle appeared beneath his feet, and chains of peace rose from the ground, wrapping around War. He realized that it was a contract, a bargain for the lives of countless souls.

In the end, they used special chains forged from the hearts of fallen warriors, those who had fought relentlessly for peace. These chains not only confined War's body but also shackled his will for destruction, pulling him deep into the earth.

"50 million lives for the chains."

Knight of Pestilence (Pesti) - Sealed at The Brother

Pesti, the angel of pestilence, brought purification through pain. His power tested humanity's endurance, to find the strongest souls, those who could overcome disease and be reborn.

But after thousands of years witnessing the endless suffering of humanity, Pesti grew obsessed with the idea that purification could only come when all had fallen. He unleashed plagues upon the world, spreading death without end.

In a valley of death, where everything had rotted and no sign of life remained, the Knight of Pestilence stood among decaying corpses and swarms of flies.

His body was pale, his hands thin, fingers like claws spreading poison into the air. Each breath he took was a curse that turned the land into a wasteland.

When the gods appeared, the light from the heavens shone in stark contrast to his corruption. Pesti laughed, a sick and twisted smile.

"No plague can be completely erased by you," he whispered.

The gods imprisoned him. Angelic feathers fell, surrounding him, turning him into a cesspool of disease. These feathers didn't burn like light; instead, their purity wore away at Pesti's power, shrinking him into a tiny black dot. He was buried under the dry earth of the land, where life could not sprout, and decay became his final guardian.

"200 million lives for purification."

Knight of Famine (Fermi) - Sealed at The Mother

Fermi, the angel of famine, was initially tasked with managing the abundance of crops, controlling food supplies to maintain balance for all creatures. But absolute power gradually made Fermi crave more control.

A desire to hold everything in her grasp grew within her, causing humanity to kneel in hunger and thirst, begging for life. Fermi spread hunger across fertile lands, leaving behind barren fields and the white bones of the weak.

A desert stretched endlessly, with no water, no sign of life. In the middle of it, the Knight of Famine sat on a throne made of dry bones, his hollow eyes like the eye sockets of skeletons. Every wave of his hand spread hunger across the lands. He neither smiled nor cried, merely watching everything fade away before his eyes with the silent joy of one who holds absolute power.

Suddenly, from deep beneath the earth, trees began to grow, but instead of bringing life, they turned into sharp, thorny vines that bound Famine's body. These vines didn't just tighten...

Famine howled in despair, but he was pulled deeper into the earth. The place where he was sealed became a barren desert with no trees, a land where his hunger would forever be locked in the indifference of the soil.

"500 million lives for the tree of knowledge of good and evil."

Knight of Death (Morti) - Sealed at The Father

Morti, the angel of death, stood at the end of the chain of life. With the scythe of destiny, he cut the threads of life for souls and ended their journeys. His death brought liberation and peace. But after millennia of witnessing the death of all beings, Morti began to believe that all life was meaningless. He longed to end everything, to erase all existence and return the world to the primordial void.

In a dark field, where the earth was covered with white bones, the Knight of Death stood amidst a sea of lost souls. He wore a dark cloak, his face hidden in shadows. In his hand was a scythe, so large it seemed to swallow all light.

He needed no words, no actions; just his presence was enough to make everything around him vanish into the void—every living being, every soul, "your fear will overpower your soul, I will make all emotions and minds return to dust."

Every step he took created a pressure so immense that it shattered reality, reversing natural laws, causing enemies to die before they were born. Those who approached or blocked his path disappeared as if they had never existed.

Death was almost omnipotent—before any of the senses could perceive it, he was already standing behind you. "No matter where you are, no matter where you run, you cannot escape fate. Even if you reach the edge of the universe, you cannot escape my grasp. I hold your fate; I know both your past and future completely. You are like an ant before fate."

"You resist in vain. All gods are beyond death. Death does not apply to them. They are supreme beings, not merely physical bodies... They are not bound by trivial things like past or future because they simply do not exist in them."

"Thousands, millions of soldiers rush to death, just as they rush to me now... How laughable," a step from him stomped the ground, the sky trembled and vanished, tearing space apart, warping time and space around him to an appalling extent. Past, present, and future continuously recreated kingdoms that crumbled before they were even built, humanity that had not yet been born lay down before they could rise. Each of his heavy steps generated a terrifying shockwave, overwhelming heaven and earth... Three of his steps summoned three apocalyptic monsters. He stood arrogantly before thousands of people.

The kingdoms were now nothing more than ruins, fragments of memories turning to ash. From above, an eye looked down where death stood. He gazed upward.

"What are you doing here... Toneri? Trying to stop me?"

"Stop you? No," Toneri smirked, his eyes glinting mischievously as he glanced over the destruction. "Do you know that dying too soon kills all the fun? Everything will vanish before I have a chance to enjoy it," Toneri replied.

"Fun? Do you think this is a game?" Morti chuckled softly, but his voice was laced with contempt. "You think life is for amusement? It's all meaningless. The end is inevitable."

"Yes, life is a game, and I am the one setting the rules. As for you..." He moved forward, his speed so terrifying that even Morti was taken aback. His eyes turned dangerously cold. "You are merely the one who ends the game too early for me to enjoy it, all the chaos."

"And it seems you have no respect for anyone, Morti... I see it... I see it."

"I see the arrogant one in the light falling like a lightning bolt from heaven."
