Jason got back home quietly and closed the door. It was already late at night. It seemed that his parents were asleep. He didn't want to wake them up and get an endless stream of nagging.
"Jason, you're back?" A figure emerged from the dark sofa, scaring Jason.
Jason took a closer look and found it was his cousin Li Yan. "Aren't you supposed to be on the night shift tonight?"
"I don't have to work the night shift tonight. I was waiting for you!" Sister Yan walked up to Jason and said with concern, "Where have you been all this time, Jason? You always come back so late. How's your work at school? Don't always play around with others. You're not a kid anymore," Li Yan said as she looked at her cousin whom she had known since childhood.
"I just went to a classmate's place to play. I didn't do anything bad. Don't worry, Sister Yan." Jason saw that Sister Yan was worried, and he felt bad. He quickly held her shoulder to comfort her.
"I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm just worried," said Sister Yan, her eyes getting a bit red as she stood there quietly.
Jason saw how Sister Yan was and gently hugged her. "Sister, I know you care about me, but I've grown up and can take care of myself."
"It's like you don't need me around now that you've grown up." Sister Yan said, on the verge of crying. The thought of leaving him in the future was unbearable for her, but she knew some things were inevitable.
"Who said that? I always want you by my side, Sister." Jason said anxiously and held her tighter. He couldn't bear to part with Sister Yan, who had always been so good to him.
"Meow." Sister Yan was held so tightly by Jason that she felt a bit flustered, especially with their close contact.
Jason let go of her a bit and said some comforting words. Sister Yan was still a bit shy and turned her head.
"That... let's go to your room to talk." Jason didn't want to make things awkward in the living room. He gently led Sister Yan to his room.
"Sister, I just want to talk to you privately. You know how much I value our relationship." Jason said as they entered the room.
Sister Yan nodded, still a bit shy.
Jason gently embraced Li Yan, his lips carrying a touch of tenderness. He leaned close to her ear, and then softly kissed her shoulder, feeling her body tremble slightly.
Li Yan was caught off guard by Jason's sudden display of affection, and her heart began to race. These actions were somewhat hard for her to accept, yet they also stirred within her an inescapable warmth. She knew that this kind of intimacy would lead to complicated outcomes - eventually, Jason would have his own life, but at this moment, the longing in her heart had already overcome the resistance of her rational thoughts.
Jason softly caressed Li Yan's back, and he could sense her body gradually loosening up. At this time, the usual boundaries between siblings seemed to fade away, and they were drawn closer by an indescribable bond. Compared to the previous uneasiness, Li Yan now seemed to respond a little more, although her actions still appeared somewhat clumsy and hesitant.
Looking at Li Yan's flushed face and her hands that trembled slightly, a mixture of emotions welled up in Jason's heart. He knew he shouldn't harm her because of a momentary whim, yet the possessive feeling within him was growing stronger. He couldn't help but think that if she were to belong to someone else one day, he couldn't bear the thought of how reluctant he would be.
"No, no... Li Yan can only be mine, and will always be mine alone." Jason made a silent vow in his heart. Although his career was just beginning, he had already resolved to build a beautiful future for her, a future that was only...
As the emotions grew more intense, Jason felt himself struggling to rein in the impulse within. He held Li Yan tightly in his arms, unwilling to let go, as if the warmth of this moment was his sole pursuit.
"Ah..." In the height of the emotional moment, Li Yan let out a soft sigh, and Jason, too, couldn't hold back the excitement in his heart and responded softly. In this way, the two of them huddled close to each other on this quiet night, as if the entire world no longer mattered.
