Chapter 13 - Chapter Thirteen

As soon as Jason Chen heard someone call him a poor teacher from ahead, he looked up and saw that it was his so-called love rival, Davy Ye. The tall man and those hooligans were following close behind him.

Jason Chen clenched his fist, but he still held back. After all, there were several people on the other side. Just the tall man alone was someone he couldn't deal with, not to mention there were several hooligans, and they might have knives on them.

When Davy Ye saw Jason Chen lower his head and avoid looking at him, he was extremely pleased. Especially when the tall man returned last night and reported that he had beaten Jason Chen once more and issued a warning, Davy Ye was even more elated.

"Jason Chen, damn it! Don't you take a look at yourself in the mirror? With your qualities, you still want to pursue He Tao. It seems that you have no self-awareness whatsoever!" Davy Ye taunted Jason Chen as he spoke. "Don't you think about it? How could He Tao like a poor teacher like you? That day she was arguing with me, so she used you as a shield."

"Really? Then why is she so affectionate to me and goes home with me? Hehe." Although Jason Chen couldn't gain an advantage in a fistfight, he didn't want to lose in words.

"Jason Chen, don't be so shameless!" Davy Ye angrily grabbed Jason Chen's collar and issued a warning. "I tell you, if I find you with He Tao again, you won't know how you will die."

"Davy Ye, what else can you do except this?" Jason Chen looked at the tall man and those hooligans glaring at him and didn't dare to attack Davy Ye.

"Haha, this is the disparity between us rich people and you poor ones. Look at my wallet." Davy Ye said as he held up his wallet. "There are several thousand dollars in it. Alas, I am extremely rich. Now I don't want it. I wonder if there are any poor people who will pick it up?" After saying that, Davy Ye threw his wallet at Jason Chen's feet.

Jason Chen saw the bulging wallet that Davy Ye threw at his feet. He deliberately looked at it with disdain and then stepped on it. As he walked away, he said, "Alas, such a wallet is also called being rich. Back in the day, my wallet was even more bulging than yours!"

Jason Chen walked to a corner and hid there, watching. He thought that when Davy Ye didn't leave, he would go and pick it up. A wallet that bulging probably had several thousand dollars. This could be considered his salary for several months.

But Jason Chen was disappointed. After Jason Chen left, the tall man walked over there, picked up the wallet, and then returned it to Davy Ye.

Damn it, Davy Ye. Aren't you very arrogant? If you have the guts, don't take your wallet and throw it there again and then leave.

But no matter what Jason Chen thought, Davy Ye still took his wallet away.

Helplessly, Jason Chen could only shake his head and go home.

"Knock, knock, knock." The door of Jason Chen's dormitory was knocked.

With sleep still in his eyes, Jason Chen opened the door and saw two policemen standing there.

"Are you Jason Chen?" One of the thin policemen said.

"I am. Are you...?"

"We are policemen. Someone suspects that you stole his money. Please come with us to the police station." The thin policeman said.

"I stole someone's money? Are you mistaken?" As soon as Jason Chen heard this, he was stunned. He had been in school teaching and had no time to steal someone's money.

"You'll know if it's you when you go." Another policeman said.

Jason Chen had no choice but to go with them in the police car.

When he arrived at the police station, Jason Chen saw that bastard Davy Ye sitting on an office chair, crossing his legs and smoking. This time, there was no one beside him. Those hooligans led by the tall man didn't follow him either.

"Police officer, it's him. I suspect he stole my money." Davy Ye pointed at Jason Chen and said loudly.

Jason Chen understood. It was Davy Ye who was behind this. He wrongfully accused him of stealing his money. Damn this bastard. He will be struck by lightning sooner or later.

"I didn't steal your money." Jason Chen shook his head.

"Jason Chen, Davy Ye said that the day before yesterday his wallet fell at your feet. You picked it up and returned it to him. Then there were several thousand dollars missing from his wallet." The thin policeman said to Jason Chen.

"There is no such thing. His wallet did fall. That was because he deliberately threw it down. I didn't touch his wallet."

"People who steal others' money will always say they didn't steal." Davy Ye sneered. "Officer, you must help me." Davy Ye winked at the thin policeman as he spoke. Just now when he came to report the case, he had already agreed with them. Later, they would give Jason Chen a hard time. Even if he didn't admit it, they would publicize these accusations at his school and ruin his reputation.

"I know, Young Master Ye. We will help you." The thin policeman took out handcuffs and cuffed Jason Chen's hands.

"What... what are you doing? You actually know each other. What do you want to do?" As soon as Jason Chen saw a vicious look in the thin policeman's eyes, he quickly shouted.

"I want to interrogate you alone." The thin policeman said.

"Interrogating alone is illegal." After all, Jason Chen had been teaching politics for several years and had some knowledge of the law.

"Hehe, here, what we say is the law." The thin policeman smiled.

"Help! Help!" At this time, Jason Chen could only shout loudly to see if there was any Judge Bao appearing.

"Stop!" A voice called out.

A policeman came over and stopped the thin policeman.

Jason Chen quickly looked up. This wasn't the policeman he and He Tao saw that day? He Tao also called him the chief. Right, he was the chief.

"Chief, save me!" Jason Chen seemed to have grabbed a lifeline and shouted loudly at the chief.

"It's you?" The chief also recognized Jason Chen. "What exactly happened?"

"Deputy Chief Cheng, this person stole my money." Davy Ye made a false accusation first thing.

"I didn't." Jason Chen quickly shook his head.

"Deputy Chief Cheng, it's true." Davy Ye winked at the deputy chief as he spoke.

"Young Master Ye, I will handle this matter." The deputy chief walked to one side, took out his mobile phone and made a call.

After making the call, the deputy chief called Jason Chen to one side and asked, "What exactly happened?"

Jason Chen told the deputy chief everything that happened that day in detail.

"So that's how it is. Teacher Chen, I am a deputy chief. Davy Ye has someone backing him up. There are some things I can't do much to help you. And the policeman who arrested you just now also has a backer." Deputy Chief Cheng said as he looked outside the door.

As soon as Jason Chen heard this, he was disappointed.

"Deputy Chief Cheng." A girl walked in from outside.

"Teacher He, I'm here." As soon as Deputy Chief Cheng heard her, he quickly called out cheerfully.

Jason Chen looked up and saw that it was He Tao.

"Davy Ye, is it you causing trouble?" He Tao looked at the handcuffs on Jason Chen's hands and angrily pointed at Davy Ye as she spoke.

"This... this..." When Davy Ye saw He Tao coming, he stammered. "I just suspect. My money is missing. And he was just there that day."

"Then where is your evidence?" He Tao asked. She knew that Jason Chen was just a teacher and couldn't possibly steal Davy Ye's money. Only a petty person like Davy Ye would frame Jason Chen.

"Alas, forget it. Anyway, it's just a few thousand dollars. If it's missing, it's missing." After saying that, Davy Ye quickly turned around and left.

"Deputy Chief Cheng, I still have classes later. This matter is left to you." After He Tao finished speaking, she also left.

Jason Chen originally wanted to say thank you to He Tao, but seeing her leave in such a hurry, he could only thank her another day.
